Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Wheww...  Been shopping and glad to be home.

Hi Larry...  I have a treadmill due to Jack's cardiologist telling Jack the same thing...not to walk in the cold.  This was just too hard and difficult for him but he loved to walk as long as he could so I went and got a nice treadmill for him.  I now use it.  I could never buy a treadmill like this now so I'm glad I bought it when I did.  Walking is so important.

Chris, great advice.    No addresses on here or intricate details of where you live.  Chris, thanks for that good spiritual talk as well.  I enjoyed reading that.

Jenny, good to see you.  Hope you're feeling ok.  Don't be venturing too far away from your home in the damp and cold.

I hope that Darryl Cox comes and posts soon.

Glad your supper was nice last evening, Janet!  The menu sure was good sounding.  Thanks also for your offerings today with good things to read.

Thanks so much, Tom aka ByGrace for your words of encouragement.  I pray each time that I put a new New Every Morning devotional in that it will be used of the Lord and that someone will receive a blessing from it.

Bonesy, good to see you posting too!  Been to Danville, VA lately?

Hope you had a great day taking photos, Karma!  We'll look forward to seeing them.  Yes, having a wonderful husband is just the best!

How are you eyes today, Ria?  I sure hope that they are getting better.

It's good that you dropped in Judy!  This is a good group of folks to "dump on" when you have such problems at home with Norm right now.  I pray that he'll be better in the coming days.

Carol, Jack did door-to-door visitation often both in Ireland and in Toronto.  I think that the time he's writing about above is when he was a student in Toronto Baptist Seminary and it was part of his course he was taking at the time.

Hope you had a good day at work today, Marilyn.

Sonja, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"!  That's good enough for me.  I've sinned.  You've sinned and your friend has as well.  This is a good verse to remember.

Nice to see you posting too, Ruth Ann.  I look forward to the day when you'll be able to share in the many other parts of these forums.  There are some awesome photos to look at.

We've got to get that computer fixed once and for all, Ruthie!  It's terrible what you've been going through lately.

Etta Sue, do you have any muscle relaxants?  I have Flexeril and that helps when I've had pain such as you describe.   Sorry you're going through this right now.

Everyone..........

Stopped by to say hello.  Too many neat postings to just hit and miss.  We're going to friends for dinner so no time to post.  I've been practicing "Shephards Voices of Declaration"  I'm to read in church tomorrow, so I've been tied-up.  Have a lovely night my friends.

Darryl, you will find you've hit upon a very nice group of people of like mind.  Welcome aboard.

Pat

Lee, how can you recite this tomorrow if you're tied up?

I have just finished writing eight letters and Christmas cards to service personnel stationed overseas.  We got a list of names from the Senior Center the other day, and it says that some are receiving NO mail and NO packages.  That is just so sad, especially with Christmas so near.  So I decided to do my bit to try to cheer them on.

Lee, I would like to hear your reading.  If you're tied up, maybe someone else can hold the paper for you.  You aren't blindfolded, are you? ;) ;D

It is time to go get Mom and drive her around town to see the Christmas lights.  See you later!

I have spent my afternoon baking (3 different batches of cookies).  That can be exhausting.  I won't say everything that I made cause that would give away what some of the sweets will be when Mom, Dad and the rest of the family come for dinner on CHRISTmas day.  I have only one more batch of squares that I would like to make before saying enough for this year!

Janet, how nice that you have found the time to write letters and show that you care about those serving in the forces.

Have a great evening everyone!

Birthday of a King
(Click to hear music)

"I will raise up...a King Who will reign wisely." Jeremiah 23:5

Words & Music: William H. Neidlinger, 1890

In the little village of Bethlehem,
There lay a Child one day;
And the sky was bright with a holy light
O'er the place where Jesus lay.

Refrain

Alleluia! O how the angels sang.
Alleluia! How it rang!
And the sky was bright with a holy light
'Twas the birthday of a King.

'Twas a humble birthplace, but O how much
God gave to us that day,
From the manger bed what a path has led,
What a perfect, holy way.

Refrain

Right on Zachery
Gilbert brought the kids over to use my computer to play some games. His CD drive doesn't work so he installed the games on my computer. That when the kids want to play the games they have to come to visit Grandma.

Another full day - busy but nothing seems to have been accomplished!  :-\

Yesterday was our emplyees' Christmas luncheon and I came home quite disgruntled.  I went through a whole litany of things to Gene that I didn't really like about the temperature of the restaurant, the temperature of the food, the selection of food that was not at all to my taste.  For some reason I felt totally uncomfortable and could hardly wait until I could leave.  I didn't even have dessert!  Then last night I realized I had been doing all that griping and grumbling and was asking forgiveness when...

WHAMO!!

The Holy Spirit slammed me with a 2 x 4!!!  Of course I couldn't enjoy the gathering - it was held at a bar and restaurant owned by two men I know for a fact are openly homosexual and I really had no business giving them any support.

I told Gene about it this morning and we both agree it had to be the Holy Spirit speaking to me  So that's the last time I'll take part in anything that's held there and I'll explain why I can't and won't participate if an occasion ever comes up in the future.   Thank you, Lord, for looking out for me.

Now, it's time to lock the door.

Let's consider Christ...Who died on Calvary's cross for you and for me.
