JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Etta Sue, what's "thick" rain?

Thin snow, perhaps.  ahahahhah.

Today has been a super busy day.  That's good in a way, I guess, keeps us out of trouble.

Took Travis to the library (ok, me too),
then, I took him to one of his all-time favorite places --

are you ready for this --

we

went

to

the -- (drumroll please)

The bank.

The child absolutely loves going to the bank.  I'm sure it has nothing to do with the "sucker candy" they gave him.  Today, the teller gave him three suckers.   :o

Then, to McDonald's, where my normally shy, reserved little boy spoke to absolutely anyone that would give him half an ear.

he's taking a nap right now!

I'll try to get in later, and see how every one is doing.

Janet, is there room in your suitcase for me??  I fold up really small.  ;)

Just talked to Marilyn on the phone.  She's doing great, including no pain!  She said to greet each one, thank each one for their prayers.  Please continue to pray for her that she will not try to do too much too soon.  She's already been up, walked down the hall some.

Jenny

Al

Thankyou.  I do praise the Lord Jesus as I asked that He would take away all the pain for Marilyn.  He is so wonderful!

Yes, Marilyn must take it easy now for perfect healing to continue.

Send her my love.

I am off to my bed now...late.
12.20 a.m. England.

Good night,
God Bless.

Al - I am so happy that Marilyn is doing so well...and NO PAIN.. thats really wonderful!  Thanks to the Lord for that!

Etta Sue:  What sort of pain shot are you going to have?  Is it a "freezing" type of injection?  Is it cortisone?

I have had many cortisone injections...they do help, but have done long term damage to my joints.

Norm is having some injections on Thursday from a pain doctor.  He is getting them in his stooomache.  Its supposed to help with the pain and nausea.  Oh I pray they will, as he has suffered so much.

Well, I'm off to bed to try and get warm.  Its so cold out tonight.

Thursday is the regular arthritis meeting for January.  I doubt if I will go....its just TOO COLD...

Bye for now....

Judy

Kathy...........

I'm often bothered by: "God hates a pridefull man".  When I think of this, I can't help but think our Lord must surely "hate" much of who I am.  That's hard to take Kathy, as I too am troubled with pridefull thinking, and a wandering mind, even in th middle of a prayer.  I've often asked myself how comitted I am to my Lord when I drift into other thinking (Thoughts) right smack in the middle of a prayer.  When looking introspectively, I know the reason.  I am praying in the evening while going to sleep.  There is only one way to correct this ugly habit, and that's to pray PRIOR to laying my head on the pillow.  The pride issue is another thing to deal with.  Pride can come in many forms, and though seemingly minor, it is still repugnant to our Lord.  I believe it is akin to a "small, or so called white lie".  It's still a lie.  Our Lord has an answer, "Repent" and strive to be Christlike.  We have no other course.  Sooooo, you're not alone Kathy.

You may not be here physically, but you are in spirit.  Praying for you kiddo.  As they say "Walk, don't run."

Hi

Brrrrrr is it ever cold!

I can hardly wait for it to warm up just a little.  I just get a chill from opening the door to the outside.

Time to sit and relax and do a bit of crochet I think.

Night everyone!

Jeanne Lee

Whew!  If I'm missing for a while it's because I blew away.  What winds we've had this afternoon and tonight!!!  And the temperature is down below zero again already - by morning it should be really something.

Gene had his six-month checkup at the cardioligist this afternoon.  We've been used to hearing "If I didn't know you'd had a heart attack I wouldn't believe it" so we were surprised when this time he showed some concern.  He said there seems to be a little fluid around the heart and also Gene seems to have a touch of bronchitis.  So he's now taking Lasix for three days and an antibiotic for five days and then next week goes back to see if they've helped.  Also, his pulse was up to 114 which was really a surprise, especially since the monitor he was on for the cataract surgery showed a steady 72 to 74 pulse rate.  Praise the Lord we have an excellent doctor we can have confidence in and know he'll take whatever steps are necessary.

Hi Everyone... Just in from EE.   We have a big group this semester.   About 55 people were in the class which comprised all 4 levels.    I teach level 2 and have 12 in my class.   We are all excited to get going and see what God will do in our city of Toronto this semester.

Would love prayer as we go out in teams of three into the highways and byways biding people to come to the Saviour and equiping soul winners to share their faith.

Will read some more posts.

God bless

Ruthie ;)
The Lord is my light and my salvation Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Hi.  I am back online.  The computer guy made a mess and has knocked both Amanda & Ralph off....so will have to come and straighten things out tomorrow.  He didn't even connect my speaker and I finally traced why the sound wasn't working and plugged it in!  Cost a fortune to set up networking, etc. and this is the result.....
Not feeling cheery.  Rather beaten to a pulp by problems with contractors and dishonest people.  Seems as if only a few still believe in being responsible and honest....caring about the customer has become a thing of the past.  Would never have survived without the Lord to keep me sane.  The kids are exhausted and stressed out....Costs went to the ceiling....can only believe this is some sort of test and so far we are managing to survive.
Thank goodness the snowing has stopped and hopefully will stay away now.  Snowed on moving day and for days after.  Brings things to a halt on the island as people are not prepared.
One strange thing happened that makes me convinced the Lord is watching over all of this...My prized little Cuckoo Clock would not work, despite all my attempts to get it ticking.  I phoned a local clock repair store and they wanted $100.00 just to look at it.  I had actually prayed about it before phoning as was feeling like the straw that broke the back had happened.  Turned around from the phone after hanging up.....the clock was working!  What do you all make of that??
Going to lurk for the next few days as not much of an inspiration to anyone at the moment.  Glad Marilyn is okay.  Have not had time to read all the many posts that were missed....will spend some time doing that and getting a spiritual lift.  Sure need one and this is the place to come.

God Bless and pleasant dreams all...Liz.

Al Moak

Sure glad you got moved, Liz.  Believe me, I know exactly how you feel!

Wow is it ever cold here in Ontario.  Timmins, north of me, is at
-56*C  We are at -33*C .  I don't remember ever having our windows frost up on the inside, until this year.  The wood furnace is struggling to keep up.  I pray this deep freeze soon ends.
Ruth I hope you are able to start your bus and get it warm.. Sitting and driving a cold bus has to be the worse kind of cold, especially having to keep opening the door.  Will be praying for you,

I am continuing to pray for Marilyn.

Good night all
JudyB
