Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Ria...
sorry you're not feeling well.   I was the same way last week.   I drank ginger tea and lemon tea and peppermint tea.     Seemed to help.

Marilyn..are you making a duvet?   I used to sew, but not much any more.    You're very talented.

Larry....yes the one chiropractor that I go to has taken xrays.    I was going to 2 different chiropractors.   One was wonderful for my neck and the other was great for the hips and legs.  The only problem is my OHIP has run out, so I'm paying the full fee.

Sonji.... I take Barley Life.  It is the powder of green barley leaves, also Proancynol, an antioxidant, and Bear Paw Garlic.   These products are from AIM Int.  from the States.   The Barley Green Powder is grown in Alberta, Canada.   I really believe in them.   They help with colds and flu and other sicknesses.  If you or anyone would like the phone number just ask me.

Chris....I agree with you.   So many people leave a church because they don't like what they hear.    No church is perfect and people need to stand behind and pray for their pastor.

Hi Judy M.....I guess you enjoyed the trip and going into Huntley Street.   Sorry about not seeing Charles Stanley.

Papa John....Thank you for those great verses.   Col 3: 12-15.   Great for the Christian to live by.

God Bless

Ruthie

Hello Everyone
I must apologize for not showing up here for a while.  I will just briefly bring you up to speed on the happenings in my life. :-[ :-[

I spent two weeks over Christmas visiting with my son and his family in York, England.  We had a great time and a wonderful Christmas dinner, (English style).   :) :)

On Christmas morning several neighbors of my son's family came in for "bacon buddies" and a mixture of orange juice and champagne.  We all had a nice visit and then around 11 AM they all went home to finish the cooking of their Christmas dinners. ;) ;)

Our dinner was ready at 3 PM and after watching the Queen speak on TV we sat down at the table and pulled the "crackers" put on the crazy hats and enjoyed the meal.
We had the Christmas pudding and the Christmas cake both very dark in color.
My Canadian and English friends here on this site know what I am talking about.  The crackers, silly hats, bacon buddies, champagne drink, pudding and cake were all different to me.

I have been very busy since returning home.  I also felt I needed to get back into a disciplined Bible Study and so I am involved in (BSF) Bible Study International.

Once again I want to say hello to everyone and sorry I have neglected the site recently. :( :(

Here is a thought for today.  "When we return to the Lord, He will make up for lost time and lost blessings."
Now that is worth an Amen.  :)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.

HI BOOTS!!!

You should have got in touch with our Chris and Margit before you went.  You could have had a nice cup of tea with them.  They weren't very far from you!  That's too bad.  That could have been the beginning of a CP BASH!!   ;D

Well Pat if a mini "bash" consists of oneor two of our people getting together I guess you could say that Jane and Nita are "bashing" and Al, Margit and I are "bashing" ;D ;D ;D hahahahahahahaha

HAHAHA!  Yep!  Well, I sort of thought too of Ken up in Yorkshire just not too far from where Boots was too and Alan (Backpacker).   They could have all got together.

Boy!  Wouldn't that have been just wonderful?

(I hope you mean Marbeth!)

Hi Boots....So good to see you posting again.   We have missed you.

I have been to England once in my life many years ago.   I enjoyed it very much.   I just love the quaintness of some parts of the British Isles.   I remember I was in a 150 year old thatched roof cottage.   So interesting.

I'm from Canada.   Have you ever been over here?   You would love it here too.

Hope you keep on posting.    God Bless

Thanks Pat for the note back.  I am not sure just what the bashing would have been like.  Perhaps some nice fish and chips would have been disposed of. ;D ;D

I did enjoy the pano in York of "Mother Goose".
In fact they had gotten word we were from the States and had celebrated 50 years of marriage recently, and we were presented with the "golden wheel" at the end of the show.

Ruthie thanks for your welcome back.  I have never been to Canada, I am hoping to make the trip one day.  In the summer time.  ;D

I have now finished reading all the posts since the 16th when my computer had to be shut down.  Thanks for the devotionals Pat and enjoyed all the many posts.  Great to visit with Mieka again!  What a cheery gal...

Have had the most terrible things happening since the move.  Like Satan has an all out attack against all of us, trying Stress as a means to undo good.  Not working as I keep on staying calm and trying to remember what a Christian is supposed to do under these circumstances.  Think about the words of Papa John and so many and it calms my spirit.

Spent over $300.00 to have Staples Techs. set up my computer on networking and they nearly destroyed the whole works.  Ralph and Amanda will still need Del to come in and undo the harm.  I had Shaw Cable come and remove the networking and put me on Lite-Speed Cable like in Chemainus.  Staples did everything possible to avoid coming back a second time and only came to get Ralph & Amanda's computer working when my daughter used another cell phone so they couldn' t tell who was calling.  What an inept and dishonest group in that particular branch.  Words fail to describe them....good thing too!

My Insurance Co. of 20 yrs. used the wrong address on my new policy.  The Pharmacare people had the wrong birthdate on my file.  Telus tried to bill me twice for the service they were supposed to do on the first visit and it took endless phone calls to get that in order.  The things go on and on....guess you get the drift by now.  Not only things happening to me....also to Wendy and Ralph.

So what have we done about all this.  Circled the wagons and I have prayed harder.  Reading 'The Purpose Driven Life' and remembering that God is in control and there is a reason for everything.  So there!

Love my new home and it is so nice to have Wendy and Amanda dropping in to say Hi and spend time.  I saw my new doctor yesterday and like her very much.  It is the clinic I went to for years until my doctor sold his practise.  Think it will be nice to have Lady Dr. now at this stage in life.  Easier to talk with....

Enough for now.  All is right with the world and God is in control.

Great going Troy and Zack.  Glad you are all home safe.

God Bless and pleasant dreams.  Liz.

Elizabeth

I have been for a visit to the Photo site and for the very first time can view Janet's paintings and pictures.  So Shaw fixed whatever was the problem when they set the computer today.

Something good did come from all the trouble.  What a marvelous talent Janet has.  I am going to go back and see all of her work.....

karmat

Hello all!  Travis had his two year check up today.  He is very healthy, and everything looks good.  Got some sad news, though.  Travis has had a wonderful pediatrician for two years.  He's leaving the practice this summer.  The cool thing is this -- he's leaving the medical profession to be a church planter/missionary in Dublin, Ireland.  I thought that was kinda cool.

Now, to find another ped. that was as good.

Nard and I are going to pop in a DVD adn watch.

check youns later!

Pat

Ohhhhh, I'd love to be going with this dr. to Ireland.  Oh, how I'd love to be helping with that!  Thanks for telling us, Karma.  I'd really love to hear from him after he goes over there.  Maybe you can get his email, etc.?

Sorry Liz that you have had so much trouble.  For sure it is spiritual warfare.   It seems sometimes that "if it doesn't rain, it pours"    Well, it is good you are reading the Purpose Drien Live"  and you know you can trust God all throught it.

God Bless
