Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father.
John 14:9

None but the Son of the Father could make such a claim.

He alone, who dwelt in the bosom of the Father, could fully declare--though in human form--the heart and the character of God. All that He said, all that He did, and all that He was, was a revelation of God to men.

Well might His disciples exclaim, "What manner of Man is this?"

Thank you Pat....Jesus is the infinite God-Man.
Fully God and fully man.   I'm so glad that He is.

Good Morning Pat.

Thank you for this devotional.  It reminded me of the Athanasian Creed which I find absolutely decribes Our Lord Jesus.

"For the right faith is that we believe and confess: that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God is God and Man; God of the substance of the Father, begotten before the worlds: and man of the substance of His Mother, born in  the world;Perfect God. and perfect Man: of a reasonable soul and human flesh subsisting;"

Janice, Goodmorning to you.

Oh thanks for the lovely hymn..."A Closer Walk with Thee".  It's a favourite of mine.

Sometimes I come in and read a little bit before going to bed, I have only had time to read NEM for today the 25th (however it is the 24th where I live).  I just looked at the pictures of Sydney and Amber.  What beautiful little girls, just precious.  Hi Jenny.

I hope all of you friends here at CP are doing well.
Thank you for the prayers, Pat.  We sure need them.  Earl is OK as much as possible anyway.  But I still have that pain that is so mysterious.  And his sister who we look after, is in very poor health now.  I don't think she will live long.  We spend so much time with her.

Guess I will get on to bed, Sunday School time will be here before you know it!  Bless you all.
Love, Janice

Personal Life: People Are What They Think About

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of
life.
--Proverbs 4:23

Every person is really what he or she secretly admires. If I can learn
what you admire, I will know what you are, for people are what they
think about when they are free to think about what they will.

Now, there are times when we are forced to think about things that we
do not care to think about at all. All of us have to think about
income taxes, but income taxes are not what we want to think about.
The law makes us think about them every April. You may find me humped
over Form 1040, just like everyone else, but that is not the real me.
It is really the man with the tall hat and the spangled stars in
Washington who says, "You can't let it go any longer!" I assure you it
is not consentingly done! But if you can find what I think about when
I am free to think about whatever I will, you will find the real me.
That is true of every one of us.

Your baptism and your confirmation and your name on the church roll
and the big Bible you carry--these are not the things that are
important to God. You can train a chimpanzee to carry a Bible. Every
one of us is the sum of what we secretly admire, what we think about
and what we would like to do most if we became free to do what we
wanted to do.  Faith Beyond Reason, 96.

"Lord, You know the secret thoughts of my heart; nothing is hidden
from You. May those thoughts be pure thoughts, pleasing to You,
completely under the control of Your Holy Spirit. Amen."

Hi Janice ~ Great to see you posting.  Like Pat, I have been praying for you and Earl and praying that all is well in your neck of the woods.

Hi Melaura ~ We miss our young bunch when they are away!  HUrry back!

Well, so far...our winter storm watch isn't here.  I am glad.  I don't mind driving in snow but the first big snow...everyone is testing their old/new skills.  Can get hectic out there.

My neck is a little tender.  Different feeling than I had while it was really hurting.  Probably because the doctor was in there doing his thing!!!

Well, I have about everything on this pc that I feel I need.  PSP8 is fine.  I love Windows XP.  So easy to navigate and I really like the little information pop-up windows.  Jerry and I put the old hard drive in the new pc but it didn't do right.  So it is still in there but unplugged.  I will get Kevin here to fix it right.   ::) ::)

THE LORD LIVES!  PRAISE BE TO MY ROCK!  EXALTED

The Lord liveth,
and blessed be my Rock
and may the God of my salvation
be exalted.

Wonderful versr and song.

John leaves again today and Melaura has cadets tonight.  I am so happy that drill doesn't interfear with church , if it did she wouldn't be able to participate.

Did Melaura tell you she made the drill team! ! !  She is so happy with this accomplishment.

Well our water is out, I just found out, and I still need to get ready for church.

Love to all

Good Morning, Princess Jenny.  :)

I can't seen anyone else online right now.

Chris, a very good thought.  "You are what you admire".

I think it was in the book The Purpose Driven Life, where Lewis is quoted as saying, " You don't see things as they are.  You see things are you are."

I only know that the more we stay in the Word, spend time with Jesus, the clearer our vision becomes.  Wouldn't it be wonderful to know that you saw things only as Christ sees them?  My perception is so flawed, but His is perfect.

Thanks, Chris for your note on what we think about and that we are so fortunate that we are free to think or admire anything.  So much time can be wasted by admiring trivial things - and you words can help me do some Spring Cleaning of the Brain.

I am refreshed daily by generous Grace!

Etta Sue:  Nice that you have your computer all set and up to date.  I like Windows XP also.  Take care driving in your snow - I heard that springtime is just around the corner  :D  Hi to Jerry as well.

We have a heavy fog and debating whether to drive to church this morning - it may lift or, it could be worse up the road so we are kinda stuck here for now.

Good Morning, I am stopping in here for a few minutes before I get ready for church. I sure didn't want to get out of bed this morning, it is cold and I had the furnace turned off, which I do almost every night. I got up to let the dogs out and Happydog went sliding across the back porch. , as it was iced over. Now I have see about thawing the car windows before I go.

Janet

HELLO, HELLO, HELLO!!  I'm home!!  And glad to be here, too.  We drove home in really thick fog last night, it seemed to take forever to drive the last 70 miles.

Thanks for thinking of me, Pat and Sonja!!  And any others who did (I haven't gone back to read all the posts yet.)

Chris, our pastor whom we loved and admired so much used to tell us often "You need to think about what you're thinking about!"  That's what your devotional was saying, in different words.  "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."

There seem to be some problems on the home front:  My kids' dad is in the hospital and has been seriously ill.  He is in Clayton, N.M.  Must be where his doctor is; otherwise I don't know why he would have gone there.  Also, Darrel's sister has been back in the hospital, and having problems.  But things will work out, God is still in charge.

Curtis got my computer fixed, but I have to go to Hugoton to get it and bring it back home.  I was so disappointed to walk in and not find it back on my desk last night. :-\ :'(

I am going back to see what's been happening in your lives while I've been away.  Talk more later!

Thanks for the welcome home, Ria and  Marilyn!  Yes, we had a good time, but you know, there's no place like home!  I probably won't be ready to go again for ...... well.........at least a week! ;)  I took around 200 digital photos and 9 rolls of 24 exposure underwater photos, so, yes, surely a few of them will be good enough to share!

Now I am going to drive to Hugoton and get my computer!!  How I have missed it!!  And then I can download the digital photos and see what I have!  Yippee!!

Patz, where are you today??

Hi, Meeks!!  Love you!  Good to see you had been in and posted while I was away.

Lots of news, but I will catch you up later.  It has taken me nearly four hours to read all the posts just on NEM, and I haven't even looked at the other threads yet!!  But I will........on MY computer!

well what a day this has turned out to be.  I will start at church, we had a wonderful group of young men at church from Teen Challenge.  The testimonies were awesome.

I left John at home to deal with the problems here.  It started out with a simple problem of no water, or so we thought.  That quickly evaporated into a hydro problem that left us with less than half power coming in on one line, and full power on the other.  John called Hydro and they came and found that the wire going into the breaker, at the meter box had burned out taking with it the meter in the process.  That initiated a call to an electritian and $1000 later we will have hydro back to full power on Wednesday.  In the meantime we have a temporary hookup, to keep the essentials going.

John has to go to work and there is a meeting at church tonight that I will go to.  Consider this from Bonesy and I together.

All our love
John and Judy
