Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

I can't believe how few messages have been posted today in here!

I think I'll get something for us all to sing!

Look full in His wonderful face,

You're right, Pat.  This has been a slow day here on CP.

IAIN!  It's great to see you back posting again.  We've all been concerned and praying for you.

Troy,  you did great!  Next time around you'll have improved so much no one will be able to catch you.   ;D

We actually had 41F today - for about 10 mintues, then the sun disappeared and as the temp dropped more snow came along.  Not bad, though.  Total from last night until this afternoon was only about two inches.

Pat; Thanks for the devotional and Hymns.

Iain:  Glad to see you I trust all is well.

Troy good work.

I did some baking and have been busy laying tiles in the Hall , the job is not done but I want to get a little more energy and finish it this evening, but I am sure that I will be stiff tomorrow.

Sue:  Do you still have the cookies.  I will be over tomorrow.

Papa John

Pat, don't be discouraged.  Some days there won't be as much traffic here as other days.  But other days there more posts than usual.  In any case, I like the song, "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus. The line:

"And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.'

is very true.  When we fix our eyes upon Jesus we see what can be seen only through eyes of faith.   Paul said, "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  2 Cor 4:18

Right now I am looking forward to tomorrow.  It is so good to meet with our spiritual family.  I really do enjoy the singing, the prayers, the Bible reading, the lessons which are presented.  I hope all of you have a good Lord's day.

Iain............

Hello Iain, pleased to see and read your post.  In reading it I can't help but think of Job.  The trials beset Job really didn't have anything to do with Job.  The real battle was between God and Satan.  Job was faithful, but his friends thought him to have some secret sin(s) and called on him to repent.  Job was faithful, but finally he questioned God.  God replied by saying:  "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth,"  through to, "Who provided food for the raven, when it's young ones cry to God, And wander about for lack of food"?  It's not about you Job, this is a battle between Satan and Myself (Mine).  Don't question Me Job, I do, and will do, what I desire (Mine).   Life is a test Iain, and we Christians are experiencing spiritual boot camp, and will be until our day of glory.  Hang in there buddy.

Elizabeth

Thanks for the devotional Pat.

So glad that you are back Iain.  We all have dark periods and the wonderful thing is that God always comes and rescues us.

I have spent a quiet day, mostly resting in bed.  Wendy keeps fussing and brought me down some homemade soup...delicious, even tho' I wasn't hungry!!

Have Sarah Brightman on the TV in the other room and listening to her beautiful voice as I read here on CP.  Wish she hadn't changed to a new age style of music.  This is some of her older music and is so wonderful.

Amanda is upset about her most prized bunny having eye problems.  Might be going blind, tho' really a young rabbit.  How easy it is to love a pet and how helpless one feels when things go wrong and they become ill.  Have never been able to accept that animals don't have souls.  Guess one day all will be clear....

God Bless and pleasant dreams.  Liz

Janet

I'm going to shut down and get my girl to bed.  She has really been wound tonight!!  Whew!  I wish I had so much energy!

I have posted new photos in Photos here and both open challenges, if you want to take a look.  I was so happy to be able to get them off the camera!  I had them all put onto a disc, and that made it really easy to wrok with them in PSP.

I wish for all of you a blessed and restful night's sleep.  See you tomorrow!

Ruthie

Dear Iain,   I am a worrier by nature myself.  I was raised in a Christian home with a Godly Mom & Dad and yet I tend to fret and worry whenever things go badly in my life.   So I understand how you feel.  And then God's promises come back into my mind and I am reminded again that the mightly God is in charge and he will supply everything that I need.

Thank you for telling about God's faithfulness in your life Iain.  Yes He is a gracious and loving God and cares so much about His beloved.  Song of Sol. 2:16  My beloved is mine and I am His.   I have to be reminded also to "Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let my requests be made known unto God, and the peace that passes all understanding will keep my heart and mind through Christ Jesus my Lord.

Iain, I am praying for you.  Thank you for encouraging me today.  God Bless

Thank you Jenny for your word.  "The greater the suffering, the greater the annointing"  It is true that what we need is to rest in Him and allow Him to work through us.   So often I pray "Lord quiet me with your love"  I have to learn to stop and leave things to Him our Great Shepherd!

Thank you Papa John for your wonderful encouraging words.   You remind me of my own dear Father who has gone to glory.  He would say things that would make me feel so good spiritually.  God Bless

Hi Lee, I especially enjoyed your post.   Thank you for reminding me that we are in spiritual boot camp!  That is so true.

Janet...I will look at your new pictures tomorrow, then I can take lots of time and enjoy them.

God bless everyone and have a wonderful Lord's Day tomorrow.

Love Ruthie

What a wonderful day!  We heard from our Iain!

And now, it's time to lock this door and open another for the Lord's Day.

Oh that our prayer will be as we worship the Lord "Fill all my vision, let naught of sin shadow the brightness shining within.  Let me see only Thy blessed face, feasting my soul on Thy infinite grace."
