JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold. . .  but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
1 Peter 1:18-19

This text has a marvelous ring of assurance. The truth is first presented negatively: "ye have not been redeemed with silver or gold;" then positively: "but with the precious blood of Christ" who is the Lamb without blemish and without spot.

The work has been done.

The Lamb has been sacrificed for sin and our redemption has been purchased through the blood of Christ.
--Reg Jordan

His sacrifice to God hath pleased the Father well;
The odors of His blood afford a fragrant smell,
Perfumed with this His saints shall rise,
To realms of bliss beyond the skies.

Jenny............

I just had a good laugh.  I have a way of hurrying and fail to look back and reread some of my posts.  I just reread my last post and asked if you were psysic. ;D  Would you mind if I made a small correction?  How about psychic?  Now I feel better :)

Liz...........

I had no idea "curling" was in, or out of season.  Isn't this an evening or morning pastime for most women? :)

Lee Kirkwood

Pat...........

Now to be serious.  Thank you for your devotional (Tonight).  We owe so much to our Lord and the shedding of His blood for our wretchedness.  As I and others said during the "Passion of Christ"........"And He did  that  (Suffered) for me."  His suffering at the hands of the Romans was horrible in itself.  That's reality.  Now think of  the base of the cross.  That's reality, and long after He was taken down from that "Old Rugged Cross," the evidence of His love for us remained there on the ground for many to witness.

Pat

Sitting here giggling at you, Lee, asking our Jenny if she's "psysic".  HEHEHEHE!

Lee I am very psysic, it's a gift from God!  ;) I have got my "Beady eyes on you."  ::)

Liz so sorry about Mr. Perkins. I have Becky cat in here now.  She's 13 and not very well at the moment.  Pushy is off hunting somewhere in the snow.  He brought me a tiny field mouse yesterday and it was alive. My friend has this baby under a heat lamp at the moment in her menagerie. Sunday dog is here at the mo but not too happy at sharing her space with Becky.

We have snow, snow and more snow overnight and still falling heavily.  Thanks Judy for sending it over., minus the cold. Thoughful of you sis!   ;)

Ruthie.David Yongi Cho was very popular over here about 16 years ago. Then he was known as 'Paul' His writings were avidly read at the  Pentecostal church where I worshipped in those days, together with those of the great Smith-Wigglesworth.
Do you know George Canty?.  He is from these parts and is a great Christian.  He came to talk to us regularly and above and beyond any man of God  I ever listened to, he held my attention...an amazing speaker and a wonderful Christian.

Ria.  I hope You are alright now with your foot and that Marcel is feeling much better.  ;)

Love to everyone.
Jenny.

Al Moak

It is so wonderful to see your post here, Mieka!  I pray for you in the love of our Lord that you will know His Presence and blessing where you are.  I also pray you'll soon be able to return to this country.  Oh I pray that your life will be so very greatly blessed, and that you will know His purpose for you and His strength and grace to uphold you through Jesus our Lord.

I don't know how much Turbotech reads in here, but I pray, John, that you'll be able to stop on your birthday, to reflect, and to know our Lord's direction and blessing with each passing year.
I'm thanking our Lord that many of you are experiencing a little warmer weather now - especially psysic Jenny!  Some of us are one thing, some another, but dear Jenny - she's special.  She's psysic!

Good Morning Everyone...

Good Morning: I have been here read some  then left with out posting a Good Morning to all my family here. I have lots of time before I go to work.

Pat: how do I remove the dates from those pictures in PSP? I don't know how to do that, can you send me the instructions in an email.  I really need to know how to do that on the older photos I took before I removed the date stamp.

The sun is not shining YET here. Hopefully it will before the day is done. You never know here in the northwest corner of the "sunshine state".

Hey Jerry if you come in to read the posts today. How about letting us know you have been here. How are you doing?

Sorry, Mieka, that I missed you.  I don't stay up that late...or at least, not on the computer!  My loss!!!  But if you return tonight perhaps this will put a smile in your heart.....

I am so sorry to hear about Perkins.  I have lots and lots of cats in my lifetime but never have had to say good-bye caused by death to a house cat.  When I was little, they were in and out.  They just went out and never returned to the house.  I have only had three strictly house cats.  Punkin I gave to a homebound lady when I was going to do some traveling and my mother was allergic to Punkin.  And now Ali & Inky.  I don't want to think about losing either one of them.

Zachary ~ I am praying that you get that pepper spray or use the vinegar/water spray.  I am surprised that the newspaper office hasn't suggested something like this.  Have you asked them?

Yesterday, Jerry had Physical Therapy.  I don't know what they told him to do...but I take him back next Friday afternoon.  Tomorrow we are going out to eat with Bubba's Mommy and Daddy...the people that built my deck.

I am really excited.  Sunday after church, Ivalou and I are getting on a bus to Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY.  We are going to see The Southeast Easter Pageant put on by the congregation.  I am sure I will have more to tell when I return the wee hours of Monday morning.

Today is a laundry day.  My, I must be awful clean or awful dirty to have so much laundry!

Al...My Psyche told me to pop in and see you  ;)  Don't blame me it's that Lee's fault!  Just 'cause I touched a raw nerve and mentioned his golf handicap.  ;D He suffered a Senior moment and mixed up his spelling, well that was his excuse., Comes to us all sometime Lee!
Lots of love Pastor Al. The Lord Bless you.

Pat...the snow is melting a bit now but the sky is full of snow and more is forecast.I suppose we must have our share.  We have been lucky this Winter.

Etta Sue Hi there.  I see those "feline babies" are keeping you on your toes!

Got to go...Cats and doggie  to feed and chicken to put in the oven., No Pat I won't mix them up!

Will pop in later....If Chris doesn't hog the "puter"  He's home this evening!  ;)

Hello to all of you!  How is everyone?

It's very sunny and beautiful here in Hendersonville, and I sure wish I was on a lake somewhere with a fishing pole in my hand and my beautiful wife at my side :)

Yep, all you male chauvinist types, she loves to fish.  Maybe even more than I do.

Travis will be really introduced to the sport this summer, too.  I promise.

Bye for now!
I survived open heart surgery.... :)

Heather Brunet

HI folks,

I was talking with a gentleman last night while at work, who lives in Edmonton Alberta.  I was working on putting together a cell phone plan for him, that would best suit his needs, as well as checking out the coverage maps, to make sure we weren't wasting each other's time.  I don't sell phones to anyone that doesn't live in a good coverage area.  I gently get around this without my boss or the client (Rogers Wireless) knowing, by talking to folks.  Anyway, as it turned out, he needed time to talk to his 2 sons and his wife to see if they were going to go ahead with the purchase of the phones and asked me to call him back early next week.  Ok, enough shop talk.....while I was talking with this gentleman, he gave me the best news.......it has been a consistant double digit temperature out west lately, in fact yesterday just outside Edmonton the temperature reached a balmy 15*C.

Just a bit of trivia for you, I heard this on the radio one morning while I was still living down south.  Do any of you know what the average world temperature would be?  If you take the coldest arctic temperature, and the warmest tropical temperature, and average them out, have you got any idea what the average world temperature would be?  I will leave you with that question, and I will give you the correct answer when I return home from work tonight.  In the mean time it will give you something to think about.  I did get the information off the radio from a professional weather man, (who is now retired) so I know the info is accurate.

Love to all,
Heather

Ms.Etta, I have not asked them yet but will soon! LOL
I wonder what they will say.

Ms.Mieka!! Welcome back to the forums!!!! I am glad you are OK!

Ms.Ria, I got bitfe about 4 years ago but still have a scare. :-\

karmat

the average temp is 0.6* higher than it was 140 years ago, according to one place I read.  They never told me, though. :'(

<karmat races to another subject>  Is there anything to global warming, and if so, why?  Here is a theory I heard sometime back (possibly from ICR, but I'm not sure).  After the flood, water covered the Earth.  In order to "dry" it, it was frozen, and thus, much of the water ended up in the caps on either end.  Through time, it has gradually been warming up.  In fact, this scientist was saying that we are in the final stages of the Ice Age, even though secular scientists say the Ice Age was billions of millions of trillions of years ago.

Pastoral Ministry: Bowing to the Givers

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor
to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us
richly all things to enjoy.
--1 Timothy 6:17

Remember, my giving will be rewarded not by how much I gave but by
how much I had left. Ministers are sometimes tempted to shy away
from such doctrine as this lest they offend the important givers in
their congregation. But it is better to offend men than to grieve
the blessed Spirit of God which dwells in the church. No man ever
yet killed a true church by withdrawing his gifts from it because of
a personal pique. The Church of the Firstborn is not dependent upon
the patronage of men. No man has ever been able really to harm a
church by boycotting it financially. The moment we admit that we
fear the displeasure of the carnal givers in our congregations we
admit also that our congregations are not of heaven but of the
earth. A heavenly church will enjoy a heavenly and supernatural
prosperity. She cannot be starved out. The Lord will supply her
needs. God Tells the Man Who Cares, 147.

"Thank You, Heavenly Father, for Your incredibly generous provision
and faithfulness--both to us as individuals and to the churches we
lead. Amen."

Pretty interesting, Karma!

Nards~I love to fish too.  One of my favorite things to do in the summer.  I just wish the kids liked it.

Hi all.

Troy
and I worked out this morning and played some racketball and basketball.  That was fun.  My stomach muscles are killing me now.

Not much planned today, just the usual routine.

I did get some portraits of Chandraya yesterday.  I will have to post a few in the photography area.  Maybe you all could help me figure out which one I should choose for the photogenic challenge.  ;D

Here is a page where you can go and look at some of them. Portraits

Hi Mieka!!!!!! Glad to see you on here.  I think about you all the time.  Love you much.

Pat, are you feeling better?

I better get going.  Papers are calling my name.

Well done!  I am glad you are going to teach him to fish.   I feel sorry for the fish but I am glad you are not teaching him to kill game with guns.
Before I get myself into trouble I express my feelings to my own sister also.  She and her husband go on game shoots. Yes you have a beautiful wife and son bro. Lucky Man! Lucky Karma and Travis also!

It is so good to see each one of you today.  Especially nice to see Mieka. [/u]

We have been busy packing and getting ready to leave early in the morning.  I am going to pack up my laptop now and my printer.  So I won't be back here until maybe tomorrow night and if not then sometime Sunday.

I appreciate your prayers as we travel tomorrow.  I know we won't be away from CP long but I think Paul's request is appropriate.

Heb 13:18-19  Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way.  I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.  (NIV)
