JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Not much to say.  It was a long day today after 3 days off, so am going to go relax and watch a bit of TV.  I musn't forget to watch the final episode of American Idol.  It should be interesting to see who wins.

Night all

Well, I had one of those scary dizzy experiences just after getting up off the table. Had the two techs not been in the room to shove a chair under me, I would have gone down.

The dizziness persists after I've been on my right side lying down. It feels like I'm on a mearry-go-round tilted with the high side on the right and the low side on the left and gravity is forcing me down toward the left.

They said that they now understand why we're going through the testing.

So, I'm home, with my feathers kinda ruffled and feelin' kinda sorry for me.

Tomorrow's going to be a better day - I trust and believe our Healer for that.

Y'all have a good evening.

Ruth Ann

Ohhh, Ruth Ann!  I'm so sorry about this dizziness!  God bless you dear sister.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow

Piano Accompaniment

Why should I feel discouraged?
Why should the shadows come?
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heaven and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Chorus:
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

"Let not your heart be troubled," His tender words I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears
Tho' by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Chorus:
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Chorus:
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Here I am, folks.  Nothing much going on around here today.  No storms  :( and a little cool - only up to about 62.  But the rivers, streams and ponds are all very high.  Nothing like what the TV showed tonight in the mid-west, though.

I finished my library books and had to get more today.  One of the ones I had last week looked really good, but the language in the first two pages put an end to it in a hurry.  When I pick up one from the new books table I always try to make sure I have something else to turn to in case it turns out to be unreadable.  So many of the newer ones, even authors that used to be really good, are now so full of foul language or sex that I've had to put several of my erstwhile favorite authors on a "no read" list.  I always let them know in the library when I find a book objectionable, too.

Thanks for the devotional, Pat.  Also to Ria.  I look forward to reading both...

The weather sounds dreadful in Ontario.  We have had a lot of heat and today it is grey with light rain.  Badly needed as everything is becoming dangerously dry.  I had to go out and it was quite chilly.  A real switch from yesterday.

My physical activities are mostly on hold now.  Hope it will not become permanent.  Have put off going to the doctor, much to Wendy's annoyance.  The same old same old!!
Received this little poem in my email today and it seemed appropriate, considering ....

Thought I'd let my doctor check me,
'Cause I didn't feel quite right...
All those aches and pains annoyed me
And I couldn't sleep at night.

She could find no real disorder
But she wouldn't let it rest.
What with Medicare and Blue Cross,
We would do a couple tests.

To the hospital she sent me
Though I didn't feel that bad.
She arranged for them to give me
Every test that could be had.

I was fluoroscoped and cystoscoped,
My aging frame displayed.
Stripped, on an ice cold table,
While my gizzards were x-rayed.

I was checked for worms and parasites,
For fungus and the crud,
While they pierced me with long needles
Taking samples of my blood.

Doctors came to check me over,
Probed and pushed and poked around,
And to make sure I was living
They wired me for sound.

They finally concluded,
Their results have filled a page.
What I have will someday kill me;
My affliction is OLD AGE.

Been there and done that...so will wait awhile longer!

Jeanne Lee, I agree about the books and also take out extra as many are not worth reading.  Many of my favorite authors are following the path to easy money and writing trash.

I didn't go on yest. and so must go and read all those posts.  Hope God will keep everyone safe.  Pleasant dreams all.

God Bless,
Liz

Sorry that I have not checked in for a few days.  We have had so much rain that I wish for a little sun.  Although I did manage to get some flowers planted. Hopefully I will be able to get more done tomorrow if the rain holds off.

Pat I checked the gallery - looks good to me.

Chandraya just got back from dance.  She is doing an extra dance for the Mother Goose finaly.  It is going to be so cute.  I will get some pictures next week to show off.

I better get off and spend some time with the family.

Pat, great idea about the cd's.  I have been doing that too.  That takes alot of time, but sure worth it.

Pat

Shutting the door early tonight as I have a very full day tomorrow.  I'm going to be seeing Ruthie and my elderly Aunt so I want to get to bed.
