JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

AMAZING GRACE
(Click title to hear music)

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, Who called me here below,
Shall be forever mine.

When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.

What a funeral service of one of God's own!

Have you been blessed?

I have!

3 1/2 years ago yesterday, I bade farewell to Jack and I know what Nancy is going through now.  But wasn't Michael Reagan wonderful?  We learned that Ronald Reagan taught his sons well.  Ronnie told his sons that one day he's be with his Heavenly Father in Heaven.   We also had a wonderful lesson in what an almost perfect marriage is.

I can't type more.  Too many tears.

Oh, my...

I feel the same, Pat.  Wasn't that just an awesome sunset, the perfect timing for the burial of such a wonderful husband, father, president, friend, world leader and child of God.  I'm so glad to see him honored in this way.

I may not be on tomorrow, have to take Beth to pick up John in Dodge City, then staying for a birthday party/wedding in the evening.  We are taking a wheelchair for Beth, as she is having a lot of trouble walking.

See you later!

The most joyful thing about the entire "Farewell to Ronald Reagan" was the fact that Jesus Christ was named - as Lord.  May we learn from this that no matter what the liberals may say and do, no matter what the ACLU may say and do - no matter what - we may and ought to stand for Jesus Christ.  When they were singing the Battle Hymn, almost the last words, joyfully and triumphantly sung, were "Let us die to make men free!"  I believe it was an unabashed reference to what we're doing in Iraq.  May we succeed in God's Name.

Pat and Janet I think my face is raw under my eyes from wiping away the tears. A very moving and wonderful send off for Pres. Reagan. He is in the arms of Jesus. God rest his soul. Amen

I just finished watching the memorial to President Ronald Reagan.  First I saw the service in California.   It was a wonderful service and some gave witness to what Jesus Christ meant to him.  His son said that his Dad was now in the presence of Jesus because he had put his faith in Christ many years ago.

Nancy and Ronald had a wonderful relationship and loved each other very much.  This was touching to see especially when Nancy was handed the flag and leaned over and kissed the coffin.

Later I saw the ceremony in Washington that I had missed earlier.  It was wonderful to see former President Bush give tribute to him with a shaky voice.  He said he had learned more from Ronald Reagan than all the years in public service.  He went on to say he had learned kindness and respect from him.  And one characteristic that President Reagan had was humour.

Apparently Ronald Reagan had planned out his funeral a long time ago and he wanted to be buried in front of his library at evening time with the sunset behind.   That's exactly what happened.

Most importantly was his faith and trust in Jesus Christ that made this funeral different from others.

I hope you had taped the service and can watch it later.  God Bless

The Lord is my light and my salvation Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Yes, Al, I agree.  To hear the Name of Christ mentioned as Lord and Saviour was so thrilling.

What a day!  And what a sunset.

Now it's time to lock the door again...
