A beautiful day today with bright sun, some clouds, a nice breeze and then finished off with a light rain.  We could use more rain but we'll just fill in with the sprinkler mornings and evenings on our assigned days.

It's been so dry, though, that the honeysuckle blossoms aren't opening up so that the hummingbirds can get at the nectar.   

I have to get ink cartridges for my printer because I have 12 pages to print out for the Village Code book - and I have to make 29 copies of all 12 pages.  That's a lot of ink.  I'm going to Walmart to get them (if they're in stock I hope, I hope...).  I have a $30 gift certificate and that will bring the price down to only about $20.

I have been relaxing since I came home. When I got here I went next door and planted some Lemon Basil starts in the garden and some Red Romaine plants that I bought today. I think I will also get some sweet basil. I wonder where I can get some Ginger. I have a small plant that Sarah gave me off of hers but I don't know if it will survive, it was not a healthy plant. so I am nursing it along. Can Ginger be started from the Ginger root you buy in the store. 

Then I took each of the dogs for a walk seperately. They are both doing well. Bebe almost never rmembers to limp. 

Then Since I had picked some Blackberries yesterday I made a jar of jam before I prepared my supper. After supper I went outside and cleaned up after the dogs, which I do every day. That has been my day.

I don't have any plans for the 4th of July.  I called Gilbert and he said they are going to a friends place for a Bbq or something like that. Maybe someone will invite me to spend the day with them.

Pat:  About transportation - it is something we need and something that can cost a lot of money.   

Even today Mel was having problems changing the thermostat on his truck.  He dropped a nut and could not find it.
