Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

I'm really sorry to see a lot of people with sorrow in their hearts. We had a bit of a sad time about 6 weeks ago. My son is doing a year in Japan with AFS and he had made very good friends with a boy. Well one day they met for a coffee when the boy said he couldn't see Michael again as he had cancer. The only contact details Michael had was his cellphone number and MSN details and because this boy was in hospital had no way of contacting him. So Michael spoke to us on MSN and asked us to pray for him and this boy and also if we would get others to pray as well. So we did this and asked friends from our home group to pray and to send emails as well.
Michael replied to all the emails and was very grateful. The point to all of this is what God can make out of bad situations. Firstly as parents you never really know how your kids are going with a walk with the lord. We know now that Michael has an openess to God and we can continue to pray that this will lead to a committment to God.
The second thing was how it bonded people with a common purpose for God.
And yes the boy did contact Michael again but he is now in hospital and it is terminal. But I believe that you have a chance to make a committment to your very last breath and so there is hope for him.
So please don't be sad as we never know how God is using these situations for good.
God bless you all.

Hi, Honey!  I'm HOOOME!!  ;) ;D ;D

Whooee!!  When you are away for eight days, it takes a while to read all the posts you missed!  But, since I don't want to miss anything, I kept reading until I am now caught up!

Lots has happened to our members in the short time I was away, both good and bad.  I'm sorry for the losses and griefs some of you are going through now, and rejoice with each praise report.

I would have been here earlier, but after I got home from swimming, Darrel was going to Liberal, and I went along, to get my photos put on CDs at WalMart.  Oh, boy, do I have a LOT of pictures!  To show you all of them, I would have to delete everything I have on my web space, I think!  ;D  Did I tell you I love to take pictures? :D

We did have a wonderful trip.  I think Pat and Ruthie have covered pretty well the two days we had together, and those were the best!  Thanks, Pat!  I'm glad your little car is running again!

Other stops we made were, on the way up--Union Station in St Louis, and on the way home, the Arch in St. Louis.  We were supposed to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but since we were delayed by the sickness of the one fellow, waiting to see if he could come along or would have to stay in the hospital, we missed that stop.  The man who was sick, and his wife, were on hand to greet us when our bus pulled into Hugoton last night.  He was feeling better, but will go to Tulsa to his doctor soon.  They still don't know what is the matter.

Jane, I think we have all at times wondered if anyone reads what we say---or cares.  But we do!  I read EVERY post on here, look at every photo, and try to comment on them.  I don't always comment on each post, but it isn't a lack of love or concern, but rather just a lack of time, and often of remembering what was said.  I hope you do know you are a loved and valued member of CP.

Papa John, I knew the answer, too!  ;)

Karma and Nards, a GIRL!!  How lovely!!  You will have two little cuties soon!

Hi, Beth!  Good to see you posting!  Keep it up!  ;D

EVERYONE---thanks for all the hugs you sent me with Pat!  I liked 'em!

I will try to work on the photos and get some posted as soon as I can.  You always have to play "catch up" for a few days once you come home again!  I do have the laundry all done already!  ;D

Oh, yes!  We did get to go to the Welland C a n a l  and watch a huge grain cargo ship be driven into the lock, the gates closed, the other end gates opened, and it was amazing how fast they floated that enormous ship up to the next level!  What an engineering marvel that is!

Before this becomes a book, I will stop!  Hello to all of you, and I missed you! :-*

Garry, you and I were posting at the same time.  I'm sorry about your son's friend, but know it makes your hearts rejoice to know your son is walking with the Lord, and knows to turn to Him when he or others need help.  God bless.

Papa John

Well, we did have a really great meal at the Chinese restaurant this afternoon.

I’m going to have to get my camera out because I haven’t taken a picture since we have been here in Pigeon Forge.

We are having a little shower now, maybe what we will get from Marie as it travels north and east from Florida.

I just dropped in for a minute.  Always good to see each one of you.  I will try to drop in for a minute tomorrow.

Janette, it is good to have you back.

Psalm 134

Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD who minister by night in the house of the LORD.  Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.  May the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.

To Believe...”
      Author Unknown

To believe is to know that every day
is a new beginning.
It is to trust that miracles happen,
and dreams really do come true.
To believe is to see angels dancing among the clouds,
To know the wonder of a stardust sky
and the wisdom of the man in the moon.
To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,
The innocence of a child's eyes
and the beauty of an aging hand,
for it is through their teachings we learn to love.
To believe is to find the strength
and courage that lies within us.
When it is time to pick up the pieces and begin again.
To believe is to know we are not alone,
That life is a gift and this is our time to cherish it.
To believe is to know that wonderful surprises
are just waiting to happen,
And all our hopes and dreams are within reach.
If only we believe.

We must also remember that we are always in the circle of God's care....

Pleasant dreams and God Bless.

Liz
