JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

A place called Gethsemane.
Mt.  26:36

A place that is called the Pavement. . . Gabbatha.
John 19:13

A place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull.
Mt.  27:33

Gethsemane means "olive press." Here in sorrow He sweat as it were great drops of blood.

It was at Gabbatha, called the Pavement, that they "stumbled at that stumblingstone" (Rom. 9:32).

Golgotha is the place of "a skull."

Here He died.

The blessed result was His manifestation in resurrection life at Galilee.

He took our place in sorrow, rejection, and death to bring us resurrection life.
--Tom Steere

Thou hast been here, Lord Jesus, but Thou art here no more;
The terror and the darkness, the night of death are o'er;
Great captain of salvation, Thy triumphs now we sing;
O grave, where is thy vict'ry? O death, where is thy sting?

Happy Birthday Neil-Hope you have a Wonderful Day!

Hi Everyone-
Been a busy week for me! Everyone seems to be getting sick in our house-first Mom-then Whitney and Zachary had the worst of it-We had to take him to the ER a couple nights ago with a 104 temp. They did a throat culture-praise the Lord it came back negative.
He is feeling a little better-but still looks puney--I hope no one else gets it.
Today, I did some more painting in Wayne and I's bedroom-so one more coat and it will be finished -Yeah!!
Tomorrow will be busy with painting and getting ready with this weeks school lessons-I still have to listen to my Math U see Dvd-and get Whitney started with that-but I am having her finish up the rest of her Math Paces first-I am also using explode the code for her.
Well, thats all with me-I hope everyone is doing well.
Hugs
Rachelle

I came to shut down for the night, have been talking to Curtis.  He was unhappy that his team KSU, lost to KU tonight by three points.  That's the end of an 11 game winning streak for KSU over KU.  But life goes on....... ;D

Pat, I do hope your eye is better.

It is getting on toward midnight and I need to be up and around earlier tomorrow for church, as we will be going to Hugoton.

Sweet dreams, all!

Our newest member, Nick, has posted a few photos over in our new GALLERY.  They are lovely of places in England.  We'll see if he can post them in our Photos Here area for all to see.  They are wonderful.

You know, I hope, that you can all click on the "Gallery" and leave comments there.

Morning!

Hi Pat!  I have been to the Gallery.  Some pretty photos there.  Did you happen to see mine?

I am just popping in to say hello.

Soni

Ruth Ann Bice

Good morning, I confess - I've not been to the gallery yet, for lack of time. Will try to do so soon.

Today the regular pianist is out, so I'm "it" for worship. But, since I played for 50 years in churches, I welcome the opportunity to serve once again with music. It's my way of testimony of my love for our Lord.

Y'all have a good day.

HAHAHA!  Guess while you were posting, Soni, I was over looking at your photos.  I'm seeing them now!  My eye is a little bit open!  It's been so swollen that I didn't realize how little sight I've had!

Talk to you all later.

Ruth Ann, lovely to hear that you're playing the piano today.  It's made me feel like going down to my piano and tinkling the ivories a bit.

Speaking of "ivory"...

Out of The Ivory Palaces
(Click to hear music)

All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes,
and cassia, out of the ivory palaces,
whereby they have made thee glad."
Psalm 45:8

My Lord has garments so wondrous fine,
And myrrh their texture fills;
Its fragrance reached to this heart of mine,
With joy my being thrills.

Chorus
Out of the ivory palaces,
Into a world of woe,
Only His great, eternal love
Made my Savior go.

In garments glorious He will come,
To open wide the door;
And I shall enter my heavenly home,
To dwell forevermore.

Chorus
Out of the ivory palaces,
Into a world of woe,
Only His great, eternal love
Made my Savior go.

By the way, Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends. What a wonderful time to sit back and take stock of all our blessings - small and great.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OUR CANADIAN FRIENDS!!

We are home from church, and I am thinking a nap sounds pretty good.  I'm not used to staying up until midnight.  :o

I have some photos to post later if I get to it, too.  Right now, I believe I will go check out the Gallery.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NEIL!!  AND MANY MORE!

Hi everyone and Happy Birthday Neil.

Also hope all our Canadian CP folks enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Papa John, know you were happy to see Tennessee beat Georgia in football yesterday.  However, I must say I was not happy about the outcome.  The Atlanta Falcon's also lost their first game today to Detroit.  The bright spot was that our Atlanta Braves did win their playoff game today and the 5th game will be played tomorrow.  It didn't look too good for awhile.

We attended Sunday School and church this morning.  We welcomed several new members at our service and then there was a reception for them after the service that we attended.  They had a lot of finger type food so we decided not to go out to eat afterwards.  I came home and watched the games and also got in a nap.

Ruth Ann, I used to play the piano and occasionally the organ for our church services.  It has been a long time and I don't play well enough to play for our church.  We have a paid organist and she plays very well.

Janet, glad you have had such a nice weekend with Curtis.

Rachelle, sorry to read that your family has been ill and do hope this next week will be much better in that regard.

Pat, glad you are doing better.  Thanks for the devotional thoughts today and for posting "Ivory Palaces" as that is one of my favorite hymns.

Hi to Sonja, Marilyn and all who stop by today.

Still hoping someone will recoginze the song I posted part of a few days ago...
Pat and all...
I'm looking for a song - it's one that we used to sing in charismatic circles in the early 80's...
It goes something like this:
Every place on which you put (or set) your foot - I have given it to you, I have given it to you.
No man will be able to stand before, I will _______ for you, I will _____ for you.
Be strong and courageous, do not tremble or be disma-a-ayed
The Lord your God is with you...wherever you gooooo.

That's about all I can remember and I can't nail the tune down either.
It has kind of a Jewish sound to it...
Can you help me???  ANYBODY????
Thanks

What a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend we are having here in Canada.  Weather is perfect...sun shone all day.

Our church was decorated with the usual Thanksgiving theme.  We have a lady who is very crafty, and is a wonderful decorator.  Our whole service was based on Thanks., then our usual group went out for lunch.  Tomorrow, Norm and I are taking another couple out for dinner.  I have made reservations.

Neil - if you happen to look in...A very Happy Birthday to you!

Nita

Hi everyone.  I didn't make it to church this morning.  I'm just getting over this cold that has kept me down for two days, but am still coughing so didn't want to take it to others.

Jane, I'm really glad you got out and had a blessed day yesterday.  I slept almost all of it. :)

Pinkie, sorry I can't help you with that song.  If we had a few more words we might could do a search.

Pat, hurry and get your full sight back and pain gone. ok?

Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian family.

phone call.....will be back later.  Nita

Janet

Pinkie, I apologize for not responding sooner.  I DO remember the song.  Here are the words as I recall them.  They may not be exact, but they are close.

Every place on which your foot shall tread,
I have given it to you, I have given it to you.
No man shall be able to stand before you,
I will be with you, I will be with you.

Be strong and courageous,
Do not tremble nor be afraid,
For the Lord your God is with you,
Wherever you go!

It has a catchy Jewish sounding beat, and I always liked it so much.  Hope this helps.  I think that was all of it, and of course, it was repeated two or three times.

Beth planned to go to church with us this morning, but woke with her head pounding and her feet hurting.  I told her the pain in her feet might be a good sign, could be she is getting some feeling back in them.  ???

Larry, you are one talented guy!  And Ruth Ann, you are one talented lady!  I'm glad to "know" both of you and consider you my friends.

Pat, how are you today?

Isn't His name wonderful?

His Name Is Wonderful
(Click to hear music)

Words and Music by Audrey Mieir

His name is Wonderful,  His name is Wonderful,
His name is Wonderful, Jesus my Lord;
He is the mighty King, master of everything,
His name is Wonderful, Jesus, my Lord.

He's the great Shepherd, the Rock of all ages,
Almighty God is He;
Bow down before Him, love and adore Him,
His name is Wonderful, Jesus, my Lord.

Hello all on this Sunday afternoon.  We could not stay in the mountains as Don is not feeling well and needs to call the doctor tomorrow - pain in leg has not let up.  He is resting and watching a game upstairs.

Beth:  What a sweetheart you are - thinking of others - I am referring to your mentioning a friend who has a terminal illness.

Larry:  It sounds like more tests for you.  I hope this goes well.  I understand Pat was not feeling well but is better - greetings to my fellow quilter!

I am trying to listen to music on this laptop from the songs and it just isn't working so will keep at this.  Meanwhile, listening to CD's that daughter gave us for relaxation - boy, is it boring but I will never tell her.   :D

We did have a chance to visit with some of the family.  Watched the elk in several areas, they are in town as well as the park.  I did take some pictures and will work on that.  Colors were still glorious on our drive through the canyon and over one of the smaller passes in the hills.  We just read the mail and find that our pastor is moving - following his wife this time.  Am sure the church is in shock receiving this letter as he is a great community worker and well-known for projects in Mexico and right here in town.

Hi everyone...I am coming in late tonight..

I am off to bed in a minute...Big Ben is just striking Midnight over here.  I have the news on the radio.

Pinkie.  I nipped upstairs to check one of my 80s tapes...but it didnt have the one you mentioned....I found this one of my own favourites, Merv and Merla's Shekinah
Possibly they may have recorded the one you want.  Might be worth checking some of their recordings which are all very "Israel".

Thanksgiving Greetings to My Canadian Friends.

It's a very cold night, so I am off up the 'apples and pears'..to cuddle down into my feathers.(down under-quilt)...Lovely, and no electricity!

Good night, God bless.
Jenny.

I didn't get in here this morning.  I forgot to allow the time for reading a day in "The Purpose Driven Life".

Church was great...such a lovely, friendly bunch of brothers and sisters.  Afterwards, Jerry and I ate out and then went to his house.  I took a nap while he watches NASCAR...hadn't done that for awhile.  I came home and here I am posting on NEM with the washer and dryer running in the background.

No rain yet!!!!
