JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

And after him [Ehud] was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.
Judges 3:31

The name Ehud means "joining together," and Shamgar means "most careful keeping."

If the leaders of God's people, and the saints themselves, make it their aim to join and keep the saints together, there could be a great victory over the enemy.

It is internal fighting among believers that always weakens the testimony and deprives the saints of strength to face the opposition.

Hello there, Pat and all who follow!

We are home from the picture party.  It was fun to see what others took pictures of and compare ours to thiers.  If there had been a prize for the MOST photos, I would have won!   The food was excellent, too, so it made for a really nice evening.

We are leaving at 4 AM tomorrow, be home early next week.  I dread the long drive, not at all enthused about this trip, but will probably have fun, anyway.  At least I will try!  ;D

Larry, we are supposed to get our flu shots next Tuesday, so hope we are home in time for that.  However, the gals at the nurse's office assured us they will have plenty of the vaccine.  I hope that's the case, as I wouldn't want to go to Thailand without getting the shot first.

I must get off here and pack a few last minute things.  I've been dragging my feet about it all week, and the time has come.  I did get Beth well supplied with groceries, her laundry done, etc., so she's in good shape that way for a few days.

Gotta run!  See y'all when I get home!

Good Morning.

Thank you Pat.  That was excellent advice for us in the church.  How we do spoil our witness to others with our petty disagreements etc.,  However, sometimes saints are grieved by serious reasons and it is the duty of the ministry to sort these out.

Larry.  Yes, we are having exceptionally cold weather and even worse is forecast for the next few weeks, intense cold and snow for next week.  I am still waiting for summer.  We had about one week unusual heat.
Weather conditions are getting so bad here that our island is disappearing...well some of it...The powers that be say that Aldeborough is going to disappear into the sea this Winter.  As there are very few residents, it is not worth the government spending money to do anything about it...So they say!!! Our coastline is disappearing quite rapidly. There have been a number of programs on the radio about this., also news reports.
Not to worry...the whole world is changing face but do not worry.  God has a perfect plan.  "Behold I make all things new." Praise God!

Judy Mc.  Mixture of Magnesium Trisilicate.  For indigestion, can be bought very cheaply over the chemist's (druggist) counter. ;)

Gosh, hold me up....the sun has come out...brill...still very cold though!

See you all later.
God Bless.
Jenny.

Be still, my soul:  the Lord is on thy side.
bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
leave to thy God to order and provide;
in every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly friend
through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
to guide thy future as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
all now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

Good morning to all,
It is starting to rain here today and the temp is in the high 60's.  We will be getting some cooler weather this weekend.  I am not a fan of cold weather...aches & pains are one of the reasons and then having to close up the house.  I love to see the open doors and windows.
I really feel for you, Jenny ;)

Well, I started a message, then lost it.

Ah, well. What I said was simple - I truly appreciate the messages I read here. Jenny, that song Be Still My Soul is one of my favourites.

Sarah, what an accomplishment! To pass the Emergency Medical Tech test is great. Will you be working on an ambulance to supplement your college needs?

Y'all have a good day.

Hello. Here I am coming in on Firefox...Hurray, I got it downloaded.  I have Spywareblaster and that will cover me for some of the Baddies" on this...

Stiill not sure how to use it but I am very impressed so far. Internet Explorer and AOL are not the best browsers and I read some info a while ago re Firefox.  It woulnt download then but I have added extra memory to this "puter"... C.P. sure looks bigger and brighter on this browser.

Any advice gratefully received. I think a couple of you dear ones discussed it  recently.  Was it you Larry?

Kathy.  Thanks for feeling for me.  I am covered with pins and needles now from the cold..and we haven't started yet...I really would value your prayers dear.  Thanks!  :-*

I am off now to venture forth.  have a letter to post.  Have only 3 layers of thermals on at the mo....continued reports of severe weather conditions this winter on our radio.  :'( :'(  I feel for the poor souls who will still be sleeping rough in the city centre and elsewhere. ...some through no fault of their own.  "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

Hi Nards...

Ha ha..Ruth Ann..we had a crash again..well a bump this time...I still have my post... Luv U.  :-*

See you all later...
Jenny.

Been a busy past couple of days here in Belarus for us.  We had a church dedication with a pastor from the states who flew in for it, so had to keep him entertained as well.  He flew out today, so it is back to just us again here.

We're happy becasue the city turned on the heat for the apartments in town, so we are now quite warm and cozy in our place.  Monday we had a little snow flurry in the morning, and then sunshine.  This morning it was about 28F here in town, and by afternoon time it is 40F, so enjoy your 60's you people  :P

I'm going to rest today and tomorrow, then Friday back to the office, and Saturday will be another long day with my interpreter/office manager getting married (It is an all day thing for a wedding in Belarus).  I'll try to take some pictures of it and show everyone next week.  For now though, check out the pictures of the Church Dedication.
A watched clock never boils.

Good Morning: It is cooler here this morning. getting cooler each day.

Well here on the West coast we are all waiting for Mt. Saint Helen's to blow again, although it is predicted that it will not be a extreem at it was in the 1980's. A lady from my church is planning a photo taking trip up the coast from here north to ?  She said if the mountain blows she will have to change her plans.

I am going to see Fay this afternoon. I will place an update this morning and again after my visit.

IT'S RAINING!!!!!!!!!

We had lots of lightening last evening and it started to rain in the night.  It is dark and dismal...only 53 degrees F.  My basement is getting wet... :'(  The ground is so dry, the moisture is going down the cracks.  But it is a good soaking rain...that is a plus.

Ivalou's car didn't cost as much as she thought.  $646.  Not as bad.  Now she has spending money to eat out!!!!   :o

My GPS worked fine taking Ivalou to the dealership.  OnStar is the Cadillac of GPS's....it talks to you.  My GPS is like a Subaru!!!  But it works and that is all that matters to me.

Now today I have to take my car to be maintenanced and then go to Jerry's and to Small Groups.  Maybe my car will get washed with rain water.... ::) :o

Hi everyone.  Don't know where the morning went but have now had a bite of lunch and after I finish this plan on taking a little nap as tonight is choir practice.  Don't know if we will go to dinner at the church and then Vespers.  It will depend on whether Pat feels up to it.

We had an e-mail late last night from my cousin, who lives in Michigan.  They are coming to Atlanta on Saturday to meet their son who is in college.  They have invited us to go with them for an overnight trip to North Carolina to look for a family cemetary on my mother's side of the family.  This is the cousin, and his wife, that we met in Colorado back at the first of July.  So we changed a couple of plans and are going to go with them.  We will be back on Monday sometime.

Jenny, I don't think I understand what you mean about your island disappearing?  Do you live on an island?  Guess I need to look at a map.  Sorry you are having such cold weather.  Glad you got the Firefox downloaded.  Under the tools menu you will see "extensions".  These are little programs that work with Firefox such as the Foxy Voice.

Nita, I don't have a clue why you are not hearing the voice unless you don't have the Microsoft engine installed and this is used by the Foxy Voice program.  Are you running Windows XP?

Sarah, congratulations on passing your EMT test.  That is quite an accomplishment.

Etta Sue, glad you are getting some rain up your way.

Well, I feel a nap coming on so am going to cut this short today.  I have read all the postings in NEM and say a big Hi to all who have or will be posting later today.

Sonifo

Etta Sue, I am soo glad it is raining.  Guess what?  It was snowing here a few minutes ago, but now the sun is out again.

Morning folks!  I am getting ready to head to jazz class again.  Hope you all have a good day!

Hello everyone,it has been raining here all day  and I've been snuggled with both dogs and a blanket.Meika does not care for her medicine but she does not have a choice in it.
I was suppose to puppysit the other babies but not because Darrel thought that Meika would fight with Cookie too much.Miracle is growing fast and she's cutting teeth now so she should be getting weaned soon she will be 5 weeks old on Sunday,I wish the other pups had made it.When Sindee(my little daushund) had pups I was not at home all day with them so this is a change but it is fun too.
Pat I hope your eye is getting better. My friend Frank that I asked for prayer for he sounds so much better he told us now thatturned his life over to Gods hands ,so he doesn't talk so negitively anymore.I sure am glad to know that I'll met him someday in Heaven and Frank has  no more pain and a new body to look forward too.well all you take care now and I'll come back again tommorow,
                                                         Love and bless You all,
                                                                                                 Beth

Beth, how great to hear from you. Hope you're doing fine with your new routine. I love your positive messages.

I was sitting at the front of my house on my cell phone (reception is better outdoors than indoors) and then my son, the 2 dogs and 2 kitties showed up. All were puzzled as to why I had not pulled into the driveway yet.  :D

Y'all have a good evening. It's misty/rainy here in Nashville with what feels very cool temperature to me. Brrr.

I'm    doing what Nards did.... stopping in to say a big hello to all of you.

Jenny - is it that cold in England that you are experiencing snow already?  We didn't have much of a summer here in Ontario either, but, September and so far in October, the weather has been lovely.  Its about to change though, as rain is predicted for tonight, and its to last until Monday of next week.  This is disappointing for us, as we plan on going to Michigan on Friday, to watch grandchildren play soccer.  I don't relish standing out in the cold to see any sport, but when its for grandchildren....well.....we grandparents will do about anything, won't we!! :)

Congratulations, Sarah.  What are your plans now?

Beth:  Its great hearing from you.....I hope you or Janet will post some puppy photos soon.

I'd love to see those wedding photos, Skief, and I'd love to hear what their ceremony is like, and if would differ from ours.

Well, I'm anxious to hear the debate tonight, and praying that God's man wins the November election!

Now, that is strange.  I posted twice in here earlier today and both are lost.

I just can't listen to the debates tonight for some reason it is making me nervous and one of them especially doesn't even answer the questions.

Back whenever I can gather my thoughts again.
Good day to all.

Stopping in to say what a good day!  The rain stopped and the sun came out. The temp even went to 80 degrees.  We had supper at church, then prayers, then a meeting about the men & women's mission-in-action groups.  We Baptists call it WMU and Brotherhood.  This is an area we have been really slack in for several years and are trying to build it back again.  Then the choir practiced the Christmas music.

later, gators ;D ;D
