Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Does it grieve you my friends, that the name of God is being taken in vain and desecrated?

Does it grieve you that we are living in a godless age...But, we are living in such an age and the main reason we should be praying about revival is that we are anxious to see God's name vindicated and His glory manifested.

We should be anxious to see something happening that will arrest the nations, all the peoples, and cause them to stop and to think again.

There should be time no longer.
    Revelation 10:6

Strolling through the Niagara Parks while in Niagara Falls, Canada on holiday, I noted these words engraved in the metal work of a sun dial: "Make time, save time, while time lasts. All time is no time when time is past."

While most people measure time in hours or days, another way to look at time and how we spend it is to measure "moments."

Why not sit down now and think about the key moments in the last few days for you. Moments working for the Lord, moments reading His Word, moments in communion, moments helping others, moments counting blessings.

Now put the time spent against them. What does it tell you?

Yes it does grieve me Pat, more so because we have had Sept 11th and more famines and more hurricanes....evil abounds.

I see the truth of Luke 21 and Matthew 24....Jesus' words are coming to pass. Things are escalating...

We have had things happening to cause us to stop and re-evaluate, but we have not learned.....

Marilyn:  If you had to fall, I am glad to hear that it was "soft" dirt.  Such a scare for you - I don't think either of us could control a runaway dog anymore.

Ruth Ann:  It is nice to hear that your son was able to go out with you at nighttime.  Prayer for his comlete recovery so he may be able to enjoy the light.

Papa John:  How neat to have an evening without politics.  It has been wearing.  We turn it off and listen to music or pick up a good book.

      Greetings to all,

Thank you Pat for the wonderful words, You are so right about they way the world is so anti- Christ like in their speech and ways..

Thats why it is so important that we here at CP have a true fellowship together and how we lift up our Lords name..Together.. If two or more gather in my name I will be in their persence..So we know that God is with us always here..

I was in bed with the cold for 4 days last week and we got 2 ft of snow.. I will post in the photo section later for you all to see..

Marilyn, Are you ok? I am so sorry to hear you feel.. God bless you..

Ruth Ann, Enjoy your wonderful daughter and her visit with you..

      Good Morning Friends...

It's a sunny cool day here in Guelph.  Can't stay long as I have an Avon order to pack but I'll check in now and then.

Glad you enjoyed the devotional, K4J...  I'm always glad to hear that.  Yes, you can keep a copy for yourself.

Oh, my goodness, Alma!   That's a lot of snow and so early!  I'll look forward to seeing the photos!  Sorry you were sick.  So good to see you back.

Carol, yes, I had a nice CD on for a lot of last evening.  Even our Canadian TV news station was solid American election results.

So nice to have that surprise visit from your daughter, Ruth Ann.  I like those kinds of surprises!

Jenny, is it cold where you are?  Do you have to go out today or are you in now for the day?  Be careful on that scooter.  Hope Chris saw his birthday card.  (poppies from the McCrae Museum!) ;D

Well, going to pour myself a coffee and start the packing of this order and then I'll check back in.

Good morning!  I am  :) :) :) today because I had a good night's rest with no coughing, praise the Lord!  Also, the long election process is over---well, almost, anyway---and we won't have to listen to that all the time now.

We have a cold wind blowing here today, but no moisture.

Today is a Red Hat luncheon, also at the same time, the Mennonite people are serving a free Thanksgiving dinner at the Senior Center.  Those people are wonderful cooks!  So I have a choice to make......hmmmm........red hats?  or Thanksgivig dinner???   ;)

We stayed up late listening to the election results, but once we felt sure about the outcome, we went to bed.  Darrel got up early to listen again, and I went swimming.

      See you good folks later!

      Ha ha..

      Pat.

Rumours of my son Chris' birthday are greatly exaggerated.  His birthday was llth February 1972.

Just had a quick spin out to the post box...I would go farther today but Jane has phoned she is bringing Holy Communion this afternoon. It is very cold and dark today.  Something wet and cold is trying to come from the skies.  Might be rain, might be snow.

      I'll be back.
      Jenny  ;)

      Jenny

      Oh dear,
Now I realise what happened.  Chris was thinking English...day, then  month....Americans do Month, then day.

      Sorry Pat...
I will sort my son out tomorrow ehen he comes home... ;D

      Marilyn

Good Morning> I have aready received some photos from Al this morning to resize and get posted for him. I will do that later. Good morning Pat.  It is good for us to remember how limited our time is.  It goes by so fast and when it is gone it never comes back.  Each day is unique and when one is over it is over.

Good to see you, Sonja, K4J, Jenny, Ruth Ann, Carol, Alma, Janet,  and Marilyn.

I hope you all have a good day today.  I am tired of politics.  Now we can get on with our lives.

      Ps 1:1-6
1   Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
2   But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
3   He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
4   Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
5   Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6   For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.  (NIV)

Hi everyone.  Not much new here.  I am also glad that the elections are over.  An interesting thng has happened here in Georgia.  The State House has been controlled by the Democrats for the last 134 years but the Republican's have taken control of the House.  They got control of the State Senate two years ago.  It is my opinion that neither party should stay in control for indefinate periods of time as absolute power corrupts absolutely (according to that old saying).

I may go to the "Y" to walk a little later and then tonight we will likely go to the church for the Wednesday night dinner and services.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

      Etta Sue

The election is over.  Well, almost.  We are still waiting for the concession speech and the victory speech.   :o

Question:  Why is it that the absentee ballots have to be in days/weeks before election day but they are not counted until after election day and takes days to count?  ???

Also, after watching the election on TV, I know what it is like to watch a wide-screen TV...since the bottom third of the screen was taken up with election tallies.   ::)

It is cloudy and cold here today.  43 degrees F.  Need to eat lunch, then clean up for Small Groups tonight.  Our last weekly Small Group meeting for 'The Purpose Driven Life'.  I imagine we will meet every other week after tonight.

Spiritual Warfare and Sin: Satan's Strategy

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
      --Ephesians 6:13

Now I do not think that Satan much cares to destroy us Christians
physically. The soldier dead in battle who died performing some deed
of heroism is not a great loss to the army but may rather be an
object of pride to his country. On the other hand the soldier who
cannot or will not fight but runs away at the sound of the first
enemy gun is a shame to his family and a disgrace to his nation. So
a Christian who dies in the faith represents no irreparable loss to
the forces of righteousness on earth and certainly no victory for
the devil. But when whole regiments of professed believers are too
timid to fight and too smug to be ashamed, surely it must bring an
astringent smile to the face of the enemy; and it should bring a
blush to the cheeks of the whole Church of Christ.

The devil's master strategy for us Christians then is not to kill
us physically (though there may be some special situations where
physical death fits into his plan better), but to destroy our power
to wage spiritual warfare. And how well he has succeeded. The
average Christian these days is a harmless enough thing. God knows.
He is a child wearing with considerable self-consciousness the
harness of the warrior; he is a sick eaglet that can never mount
up with wings; he is a spent pilgrim who has given up the journey
and sits with a waxy smile trying to get what pleasure he can from
sniffing the wilted flowers he has plucked by the way.  That
      Incredible Christian, 72.

"Oh God, may I never be 'a harmless enough thing,' 'a child
wearing...the harness of the warrior,' 'a sick eaglet,' 'a spent
pilgrim.' Give me grace to fight valiently. Amen."

We have just been watching Kerry on Fox news here, a gracious speech conceding to the President, but I must say, when you examine the rest of his speech, it is just so much empty retoric!
Bush spoke better, he did mention prayers, thanking all for them.
I was a bit disappointed that he did not ask God's blessing on his presidency, it would have been the perfect time, well maybe in private eh?
      :)

I hope he knows this hymn.

      Janet

Chris, I'm sure our President asks God's blessing on his presidency and on our nation EVERY day!  It is such a comfort to have a godly man at the helm, and a real lady at his side.  Thank you, God.

I took Beth out to do errands--took her dogs to the vet, took her to see her Grandma, to the drugstore, and to the Senior Center for lunch.  Yes, the red hats lost today.  :)  I just thought Beth would really enjoy a nice Thanksgiving meal.....and she did.

We got our tickets and trip information today for our upcoming journey to Thailand!!  It sounds really exciting.  I'd better get to packing!  Darrel is all packed already, as he usually is.  He is not a last-minute packer like me.  I read through all the included and optional tours, and can't imagine being right on the borders of Cambodia, Thailand and Burma (now called Myanmar.)  Lots of history there, most of the cities/villages were founded as far back as the 1200s and 1400s.

I need to get a few more things done around here, and the day is fading fast.  See y'all later!

Well, I saw two doctors this afternoon (one for physical and one for a bit of a problem). So, have a test scheduled the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Seems it's always something, doesn't it.

It was great to see my daughter and share hugs. She works from 7 pm until 7 am, and I work from 8 am until about 6:30 pm. So, we only live 3 miles from each other, but our chances to be together are very few.

I was glad she dropped by for a moment.

      Y'all have a great evening.
