JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Hello there Pat.......good to see you....I really like your pic....you look terrific.... :-*

uiba

Pat and all, thank you so much for the birthday card yesterday!  It's beautiful.  I saved it to my computer, and I plan to print it and hang it on my wall.

I would like to say one thing, though, and I don't mean it disrespectfully.  I am a Christian, have been all my life, always will be, God willing.  It's the most important thing in my life, more important than husband, family, whatever.  I am also a registered Democrat in the USA, and a Kerry supporter.  I am against abortion and gay marriage, but I am a Democrat.  I am glad that Christ did not bind my concience to one or the other political ideology.  I personally am sad that Mr. Bush was re-elected, I wished for something better for the USA.  In my opinion, Mr. Bush has not been frank with the country, but has followed an agenda of revenge and greed that has little to do with peace or Christianity or the well-being of people.

I have, at times, found it difficult to come to this site, because of the politics, and the implication that unless one is of a particular political ideology one can not be a Christian.  I think nothing is further from the truth.

Again, I do not mean to offend anyone.  I strongly believe though that Christians come in all sorts of colours and with different political views, that Christ died for all, and that ALL WHO BELIEVE IN HIM, ALL WHO TRUST IN HIM FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF THEIR SINS, will be saved, regardless of their nationality, colour, political persuasion.

Anyway.  People I've met here are wonderful, but I am very sad today, for many reasons, and I am a Christian and a Kerry supporter.

Thank You, Father, for Your undeserved grace (mercy) to us to give us again a man who fears Your Name and calls upon You.  We all agree to ask You to move him to pray much and about many things, and we ask that You will teach him to trust You and make it clear that Your Hand is upon him and upon us for good.  Oh Father, keep us from looking to You for the election then forgetting to continue to pray.  Move us to use the news as our prayer book.  Continue, Father, to lay Your Hand of grace upon us as a nation.  We confess we are very, very sinful, and our first and foremost prayer is that You would move more and more to repentance and faith and that You would move those who govern us to do so in righteousness through Your Son our Lord Jesus Christ.

Nita

Ursula, I'm so glad you felt free to share your heart.  I honestly have looked for Christians who were democrats.  I did a search.....looking for anythinig to tell me that there was an option to be Christian and Democrat.  I was sure that there would be something....somewhere......Christians (true Christians, not just ones who attend a service somewhere) who wanted to say YES!  I AM a Christian, and a Democrat!   If it's there, I missed it.

Other than moral issues, and this is the greatest issue to me, I am inclined to be closer to a Democrat than Republican.  Many things said by Republican leaders seem so far away from the heart of Jesus.  ANd then I hear Democrats say things that I can't understand either.

That said, I am so against abortion, especially the most awful partial birth abortion.  How could I identify with a cause and a president who thinks this is ok?     So much I don't understand, but I do know that LOVE is the greatest weapon,  the most powerful to change a heart.

I would rather be nothing on this earth, but simply Christ's.

My strong conviction is that God does not care much about Replicans  or Democrats.  He looks at our heart, and we are judged as individuals.  The cause of Christ is not furthered by politics.....that has been shown over and over in history.   The cause of Christ is not about voting, but about brokeness and humbleness, about serving all with the love of our Father, and as He would do.

I know there are many points of view on this, and I respect each  one.  We each need to be true to  the Spirit of God within us.....for the calling on our lives, and where He may place us.

I'm sure NEM is not the place to discuss this further.  But I would like to talk more.  I really want to understand.  Would you email me?

Today has been a good day. I watched the elections from 3:30-12:00 last night, woke up at 5:00 AM to listen in on the results again and then during 4th period, found out the news. I'm am quite glad that Senator Kerry decided not to drag the United States into another "Florida." I don't know the political views of many on this site--however, I'm am so glad Bush will be in the White House another 4 years. God bless him!

I was just listening to the radio station that I enjoy on the internet and they just played this.  I thought to myself, "We have that!  I'll put it in NEM for everyone!"

So here you are, folks!  Good words!

Cleanse Me
(Click to hear music)

Search me, O God, and know my heart today;
Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts I pray.
See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from ev'ry sin and set me free.

I praise Thee, Lord, for cleansing me from sin;
Fulfill Thy Word and make me pure within.
Fill me with fie where once I burned with shame;
Grant my desire to magnify Thy name.

Lord, take my life and make it wholly Thine;
Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine.
Take all my will, my passion, self and pride;
I now surrender, Lord--in me abide.

O Holy Ghost, revival comes from Thee;
Send a revival--start the work in me.
Thy Word declares Thou wilt supply our need;
For blessings now, O Lord, I humbly plead.

I forgot and left my computer on while I went to choir practice.  I kinda skipped prayer meeting tonight as I was tired from work and I wanted to go on this site and see what I have missed for 2 days.

About Democrats and Republicans....I usually vote for the person who I think is the better choice and hopefully a Christian.  However, I don't know anyone's heart....only God does.  Whoever is in office needs all the Christian prayers that can be offered.  I never have been a "party" person but I respect others and their opinions count.  I don't think Pres Bush is well liked in the foreign countries...and this is from a Christian radio broadcaster Israel.  I personally voted for him because I think he stands up for Christian values.

Good nite to all......
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life.  No man cometh unto the Father but by me.  John 14:6

Thanks for putting the different topics as "clickable."  For those that haven't learned to navigate the site...it is helpful.
