Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Morning Devotional...

My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.  When I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Cor.  12:9-10

He was marvelously helped, till he was strong.[/i]
2 Chron.  26:15

These texts are never more clearly demonstrated than in the life of Samson, as recorded in Judges 13-16.

As more and more he depended on his own strength, so further and further he drifted from the Lord.

Only when he was at an end of himself could God do a dramatic work through him. Let his example speak to those of us who tend to be self-sufficient Christians.

We do not want to be guilty of "laboring in vain" (Ps. 127:1).
--Wm. Gustafson

Tho' tempted and sadly discouraged,
my soul to this refuge will flee,
And rest in this blessed assurance:
My grace is sufficient for thee.
A. V.

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
(Click to here music)

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.

Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Refrain

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Refrain

Godd Morning and thanks, Pat, for the info about TENS.  I did bookmark the page.  \

My deepest sympathest to Papa John's family.  It is always hard to give up a loved one even though he is a saint.  There will be a great reunion in  the sweet by & by when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is LORD!

Happy Birthday to  Babycakes.  May your day be filled with Gods blessings

A new week to begin and now to fix breakfast and get ready for work.   :) :) :)

I'm baaaaackk!!  Didja miss me, huh?  Didja?  ;D ;D

We had the most wonderful trip!  We saw and did a lot, and even though I'm really tired after 46 1/2 hours of travel time to get home late last night, I'm so happy we went to Thailand.  We enjoyed it so much.  Meeting Joe and spending some time with him was great, too.  We also met more warm and wonderful people there.  My entire dining room table is covered with photos!  I think between us we must have taken around 800 or 900 photos!  The only problem is, most of them are good!  ;)  And I'm just sure you want to see each one, right??  ;)  (Really, I promise not to post all of them!)

I haven't even seen or spoken to Beth yet.  Darrel woke me up at the unkind hour of 6 this morning!!  He hasn't gotten his inner clock re-set yet!  :o

I have NOT read all I missed, that will have to wait, as you can imagine, I am way behind on everything here, as well as not even being able to yet comprehend that Christmas is upon us!

Happy to be back with you!

Papa John ~ I am saddened because you are sad to lose Walker.  But I am gladdened because he was ready and a Christian man.  My, 63 years of marriage.  He will be a loss to the family but those remaining will become stronger just knowing he is in Heaven with their heavenly father.

Happy Birthday, Baby Cakes!!!

Welcome home, Janet!!  I know you are blessed to have spent time in Thailand.  Now bless us by sharing with stories and pictures, okay?

Whew!  What a night!  I went to bed late and then read before turning out the light.  The wind was terrible.  Even shook this brick house!!!  It finally died down some but this morning there is this strange white stuff on the ground... :-[  I am sure glad that I don't have to get outside today.  It is only 26°F!!!!  COLD!!!!  And that wind just makes it colder.  It sounds like a blizzard out there!!!  Just praying that my trees stay upright!!!

Papa John

Thank you all very much for your prayers and kind thoughts expressed here.  My sister and her sons are at the funeral home making arrangements.  Cornelia and our daughter, Rachel, are preparing food to take for lunch today and we are ready to go when they call that they are on the way back home.  The funeral will either be tomorrow or Wednesday.

On a happier note it is a beautiful day here though it is a cool 38 degrees right now but the sun is shining brightly.

Janet, we are glad you are back and had a great time in Thailand.  We visited there some years ago and enjoyed it very much.  We were able to visit some missionaries there and go to church on Sunday.  The traffic was terrible.

Thank you for making me welcome back here.  Yes, Etta Sue, I have a lot to share, but it will take a bit of getting ready.  Every photo I snapped, I was thinking of all of you here.

Papa John, I'm sorry to hear of your loss of a family member.  Darrel's dad passed away in December, and I always think of him at this time of year.

I am chatting with Mieka!  Be back later!  I have done all the laundry, sorted all the mail, visited Beth, so I'm making good progress here!

Hi everyone.  Like Papa John and Ruth Ann in Nashville, we also have a beautiful sunny but cool day.  The landscape company was just here and cleaned all the leaves from the yard so it looks very nice again.   I didn't think they were coming back until early January but I am not complaining as long as my bill isn't any higher.

Janet, of course we missed you but as you will see when you have time to look back over the postings you were not forgotten.  I think Beth was counting those last few days until your return so know she was relieved to see you today.  I bet there is a little granddaughter who is excited that you are home.

Beth and John, it can't be many days now until you can be together again for awhile.  Know you are both counting the hours and minutes.

Etta Sue and Tbear, hope you don't have too much snow and that the wind dies down.  Pat I hope your haven't had too much snow either.

I just had a call from my urologist's nurse saying they were moving my seed implant operation  from the same day surgery center in a satellite building to the main hospital do to my heart situation.  It was suppose to occur at ten and now is scheduled for 11 but they wanted my cellphone number in case there is a subsequent change and the doctor needed to reach me.  So tomorrow will probably be a day of hurry up and wait and hoping they won't have to reschedule after I get there.  So far this has been a bit of a fiasco.  I finally was able to talk to the pre-admitting nurse this morning.  At least I won't have to get up quite as early tomorrow.

Welcome FOTOPLAYJ to CP.  We are happy to have you joining us.

Happy Birthday, Samantha.

Tbear, you better check your camera as that photo you have in your last message didn't seem to turn out right!   ;D

Hope everyone has a good evening.  I will try to check in tomorrow evening unless I have to stay in bed when I get home.

Pat

I for one will be praying for you at that time tomorrow, Larry.  Thanks so much for keeping us in touch.

Well, thankfully, my day has come to an end.

It started at 3:45 a.m. (Nashville time) in Atlanta, included a drive to Nashville, unloading the dogs and dog carrier, working until 5 p.m., then home.

It's supposed to be very cool tonight, and I think I'm ready to jump into bed and rest.

Papa John, my deepest condolences on the loss of your loved one.

More tomorrow.

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
(Click to hear music)

Suddenly there was with the angel a great company
of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace,
good will toward men.
Luke 2:13-14

Words: Henry W. Longfellow, 1864

Music: John B. Calkin, 1872

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

Till ringing, singing on its way
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men."
