Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

      Morning Devotional...

      Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
      Psalm 51:10

      The Lord spoke these words to me 18 years ago and they changed my life forever. I had lived as a stranger to grace and to God for 25 years. Drinking, swearing with no thought of God or my eternal destiny.

      The last words that my father spoke to me on his sick bed in hospital were these, "I?ll be all right in the morning". I thought that he meant that he would be better physically the next day.

      My father died at 00.25! He knew where he was going and he knew that all would be well with him in the morning.

      For me it was a devastating blow. I loved my father and we had had a wonderful relationship although he had been very strict with me in my earlier years.

      His death started me thinking about where he had gone and what happened to us after death. I had not been in church for years, however when it was announced that there would be special evangelistic meeting to be held in Garrabost church, I decided that I would attend.

      I was only able to attend the one meeting. It was not the one that I had intended to go to, however it would do! I never heard much of the service that the minister preached, however when he read out the words of the final Psalm, I heard not the preachers? voice but God?s.

      I went home, told my mother that I was going up to my room to read my Bible. I read and read, day after day simply because this Book was alive and I was hungry for the Bread of Life. I found peace with God six months later, but that is another story. I can honestly say today, that I love my Lord more today than I ever did.

      I commend this same Jesus to you today, He is my best friend.

      ~Iain Mackenzie~

      Jehovah Tsidkenu
      (Click to hear music)

      by Robert Murray M'Cheyne

      "THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS"
      (The watchword of the Reformers.)

      I once was a stranger to grace and to God,
      I knew not my danger, and felt not my load;
      Though friends spoke in rapture of Christ on the tree,
      Jehovah Tsidkenu was nothing to me.

      I oft read with pleasure, to sooth or engage,
      Isaiah's wild measure and John's simple page;
      But e'en when they pictured the blood-sprinkled tree
      Jehovah Tsidkenu seem'd nothing to me.

      Like tears from the daughters of Zion that roll,
      I wept when the waters went over His soul;
      Yet thought not that my sins had nail'd to the tree
      Jehovah Tsidkenu - 'twas nothing to me.

      When free grace awoke me, by light from on high,
      Then legal fears shook me, I trembled to die;
      No refuge, no safety in self could I see, -
      Jehovah Tsidkenu my Saviour must be.

      My terrors all vanished before the sweet name;
      My guilty fears banished, with boldness I came
      To drink at the fountain, life-giving and free, -
      Jehovah Tsidkenu is all things to me.

      Jehovah Tsidkenu! my treasure and boast,
      Jehovah Tsidkenu! I ne'er can be lost;
      In thee I shall conquer by flood and by field,
      My cable, my anchor, my breast-plate and shield!

      Even treading the valley, the shadow of death,
      This "watchword" shall rally my faltering breath;
      For while from life's fever my God sets me free,
      Jehovah Tsidkenu, my death song shall be.

      Make Me A Channel Of Blessing

      Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ,
      as though God were pleading through us:
      we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.
      2 Corinthians 5:20

      Words and Music: Harper G. Smyth, 1903.

      Is your life a channel of blessing?
      Is the love of God flowing through you?
      Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
      Are you ready His service to do?

      Chorus:
      Make me a channel of blessing today,
      Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
      My life possessing, my service blessing,
      Make me a channel of blessing today.

      Is your life a channel of blessing?
      Are you burdened for those that are lost?
      Have you urged upon those who are straying,
      The Savior Who died on the cross?

      Is your life a channel of blessing?
      Is it a daily telling for Him?
      Have you spoken the Word of salvation
      To those who are dying in sin?

      We cannot be channels of blessing
      If our lives are not free from known sin;
      We will barriers be and a hindrance
      To those we are trying to win.

      Yesterday, we had a few server problems.  My son is the webhoster for Christian Photographers and works hard keeping us all straight!  Yesterday I think we had two times that the site was off for awhile but our Home Page wasn't.  http://christianphotographers.com

      Anyway, I just want to thank you for posting the link on some other sites.  That's terrific.  I'm enjoying Teresa a great deal!

      Let folks know that their account has to be activated and not instantaneous due to a bit of a problem we had on the site just before Christmas and there are only a couple of us who can activate the registrations.  But we try to hurry quickly!

      Thanks again!

      Hi Gina...  It's always great to see you no matter what time it is!  The term "New Every Morning" comes from the scripture in Lamentations 3:23 (King James Version)    They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

      Hi everyone from a very cold Georiga.  It was 19 degrees when I went to coffee this morning and that is cold for down here.  They said there was not a reporting station in Georgia that was above freezing.  However, the sky is completely clear and the sun is shining brightly.  As with most days for us it will get above freezing before the day is over as it is 32 right now.

      I have a little heater running in my office and Pat just tried to run a second little heater in her sewing room and it tripped the breakerbox.  So only one heater at a time on this circuit.

      I know this is an important day for Janet and her daughter Beth as she prepares for her surgery.  Let's all be sure to keep Beth, Janet and the rest of the family involved in our prayers.

      Since I fear I will fail to name the names of all of our new members the last couple of days I am just going to say Welcome, Welcome and I look forward to reading your posts in the days ahead.  Some have already posted here and that is very nice.

      Happy Birthday, Anthony.

      Good to read all of the postings today.  I have a lot I need to get done this afternoon so am going to be brief today.

      Pat ~ No, I have found most of my 'Welcome' animations online but the ones at the bottom of my first posts on NEM, I have made and I am having fun doing them.

      Brrrrr! It is cold in Indiana.  But they are predicting more snow so as all people in Indiana do when bad weather is predicted, Ivalou and I went to the grocery store this morning...the reason why I am late in posting.  So now I have a pot of Texas Chili on simmer.  The house smells soooooo good.  Nice and warm chili for cold weather.   Yummmmmm!

      Stray Cat is still here.  I felt so bad because it was down to only 4°F this morning and he was outside.  So when I got up, I went to my basement and got one of my cat carriers.  I put a trash bag around it and tied it so it wouldn't come off.  Then another trash bag over that...I don't know why.  Then I got some old towels and throwed them inside.  I opened the door and there was Stray Cat coming up from the basement window well.  Poor thing.  But I coaxed him in the carrier and set it so the door wouldn't shut and away from the wind.  Since I found out the carrier fits in the window well so with the trash bag, he will stay warmer and dryer away from the wind, snow and rain.  He is a nuisance.  I just know he was someone's house cat because he really wants in the door.  I had a time bringing in the bags of groceries and trying to keep a cat from coming inside.  Same with the garage.  He was in the garage before I got out of the car.  So I had to shut the garage door and pick him up and go out the small door.  He is a loving cat...he wants to love me, too.  But I just can't!!!!!!  Do hope if he stays around that he likes moles.  I can feed him but I can't let him in.  I keep saying that, I know but I can't break down.  Oh, well.

      Hello Friends ... I could not keep this news inside any longer !!  I got a e mail from my oldest son with some wonderful news ... take a look at this e mail that I got today from him !! So, thanks to all who have been praying for him & so I hope to keep you all updated from time to time so thanks again for all the prayers !! The letter he sent me is below is brown so be sure to read it ...

      Oh yes ... be sure to check out my post on page 2 there is a neat link on there that I am wanting everyone to see and hear so take care & I will return again soon !!

      I dont know if I or mom told you, but last week, I got a call on a website design job for the company my new property manager, Wayne (the new landlords son-in-law) works for.

      Anyhow, I went down there for an initial consultation to get an idea what they want, and through talking to them abot what their needs are and also talking wiht the owner of the place, they told me as soon as I move, I can start working for them full time, starting at 13.00/hr.

      I'd be in charge of the website and making sure things worked, keeping it updated, upgraded, and bug-free and also I'll be doing tech work on their systems they build (Computers to drive security/surveilance systems) and various other technical work in support of their clients.

      The only negative is that right now they dont have medical insurances, so I'd have to take care of that myself. But I'll be making about 27000/yr, working a stable 9-5 type job, and will have my weekends off, and probably be able to go back to school to finish my degree off.

      Anyhow, seems to me all this hardship I've been through lately was only part of God's plan to give me something far better than I could have imagined.

      Pat

      As the Deer Panteth for the Water[/size]
      (Click to hear music)

      Written by Martin Nystrom

      Psalm 42:1
      "As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
      so panteth my soul after thee, O God."

      As the deer panteth for the water,
      So my soul longs after you.
      You alone are my hearts desire,
      And I long to worship You.

      Chorus
      You alone are my strength, my shield;
      To You alone may my spirit yield.
      You alone are my hearts desire,
      and I long to worship You.

      I want you more than gold or silver,
      Only You can satisfy.
      You alone are the real joy giver
      And the apple of my eye.

      Chorus
      You alone are my strength, my shield;
      To You alone may my spirit yield.
      You alone are my hearts desire,
      and I long to worship You.

      You're my friend and You're my brother,
      Even though you are a King.
      I love You more than any other
      So much more than anything.

      Chorus
      You alone are my strength, my shield;
      To You alone may my spirit yield.
      You alone are my hearts desire,
      and I long to worship You.

      Personal Life: Healing Silence

      And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray.
      --Mark 6:46

      Very few of us know the secret of bathing our souls in silence. It was
      a secret our Lord Jesus Christ knew very well. There were times when
      He had to send the multitudes away so He could retire alone into the
      silence of the mountainside. There He would turn the God-ward side of
      His soul toward heaven and for a long time expose Himself to the face
      of His Father in heaven....

      My eyes and ears and spirit are aware of the immaturities in the
      so-called evangelicalism of our time. The more noise we make, the
      happier we seem to be. All of the signs of immaturity are among us.

      We are seeing a general abhorrence of being alone, of being silent
      before the Lord. We shrink from allowing our souls to be bathed in
      the healing silences.  Men Who Met God, 103-104.

      "Father, we've focused for several days on the need for solitude and
      silence. Grant that we might not forsake the quest until we have
      really mastered this discipline, no matter how busy our lives
      continue to be. Amen."
