JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Janice

Hello everyone!
Just checking in to see how all our friends are doing, who have had recent surgeries.  This has been quite a week!  My great nephew had a kidney transplant this week in Little Rock, AR.  He is 13 yrs old and has never had normal kidney function.  Has been on nightly dialysis at home for a number of years, and even had both kidneys removed 2 years ago to prepare for a transplant.  He is doing well, but the kidney is not putting out enough urine yet.  The doctors say that is not unusual for a donor that is a cadaver.  Cody is such a brave upbeat kid, he will be fine I'm sure, and the whole family is praising the Lord for this chance for a normal life for him.
I have to get an MRI done on the 8th, cervical spine.  It is a repeat from a year ago, but have been having a painful and numb arm for awhile now.
Earl is doing fairly well considering.  Seems like we are at the doctors office constantly any more, one doctor or the other!
Well, I will sign off now.  Hope to continue hearing good news from those who are recuperating.  God bless you all.

This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.   Ps 118:24

Janice, it's so good to see you posting.  Thanks for the update.  I'm sorry about your arm.  Not pleasant I'm sure.

It's also very interesting to read about your little great nephew.  I pray his kidney transplant will be successful.

Love

Pat

This is one of my favourite hymns.  I'm singing it here right now!  Can you hear me?

And Can it Be That I Should Gain[/u]
(Click to hear music]

Suddenly there was a great earthquake,
so that the foundations of the prison were shaken;
and immediately all the doors were opened
and everyone's chains were loosed.
Acts 19:26

Words: Charles Wesley, Psalms and Hymns, 1738.
Music: "Sagina," Thomas Campbell, 1835

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior's blood!
Died He for me who caused His pain!
For me who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

'Tis mystery all: th' Immortal dies!
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.
'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left His Father's throne above
(so free, so infinite His grace!),
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam's helpless race.
'Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!
'Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature's night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray;
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th' eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach th' eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
