JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Happy Birthday Marilyn

We have had a day of snow and rain here on the island.  All the little buds say.....brrr :'(

Wendy is still ill, so I cooked dinner again today.  Have now finished cleaning up and placing things in the dishwasher.  Wonderful inventions, dishwashers.  Was sad when they went into the churches tho' as it was fun chatting and doing dishes together.  Even the fellows pitched in.

Ruth Graham (daughter of Billy Graham) was on Hour of Power this morning.  I didn't realize that Robert Schuller and Billy Graham were good friends, and Billy convinced him to start the TV ministry.  Ruth Graham has written a new book:  In Every Pew Sits a Broken Heart.  She has gone thro' two divorces and knows a little something about that experience.  I find it refreshing to hear people talk openly about things, rather than hide from the tongues of gossips in Christian Circles.  Many folks seem to forget Ps. 34: 18  'The Lord is near to the brokenhearted,
And saves those who are crushed in spirit'.

Yest. I posted a link that is quite lovely and shows the wonder of God's creatures.  Since no one commented, I am going to post it again and hope some of you will take a look.  Everyone I have shown it to has been thrilled:

THE BIRTH OF A HUMMINGBIRD

This is truly amazing. Be sure to click on NEXT PAGE at the
bottom of each page; there are 5 pages in all. A lady found a
hummingbird nest and got pictures all the way from the egg to
leaving the nest. Took 24 days from birth to flight. Because
you'll probably never in your lifetime see this again.....

CHANGE NOT THY FAITH WITH CHANGING TIMES

Janet

Liz, I had seen the hummingbird photos a couple of times before, but really enjoyed looking at them again.  It is hard to imagine how tiny they really are when they first hatch!  Thanks for the link.  I hope you get some warm weather soon and that Wendy feels better, too.  Is Amanda still drawing and painting?  I hope so, she is so talented!

Hi, Judy.  I didn't care for the Beatles when they were young, and care even less for McCartney now. :P  But I suppose a lot of people do.  Personally, I much preferred the half-time shows with the bands marching, etc.  Those were really neat!

Larry, were you rooting for the Patriots?  Darrel was, but since they had won a couple of Super Bowls previously, I was sort of rooting for the Eagles.  I usually root for the underdog.  (Not that I care that much who wins, usually.)

John, good to see you posting, and hope your mother is able to be taken off the respirator tomorrow.  Wish you were here to make Beth feel better, but glad you're there for your Mom when she needs you.

I have a full day tomorrow.  See you all tomorrow evening.

Hey, Karma!  You're almost there!!!   ;D ;D ;D

Good evening.

I had to come in and see if Jerry had said anything yet. :)  He's as quiet as I am.  Actually, I haven't even been getting here later.

Karmat......won't be long now.  Good for you, Nards.....keeping her down.

Marilyn, a late Happy Birthday to you.

My daughter, Rene, has been visiting since Wednesday.  She lives in Pheonix.  It's been nice having her here.

I guess that's all I have to say.  ::)  As soon as I can sit more comfortably for lengths of time, I'll catch up again.       Nita
