Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Morning Devotional...

Don't Think Like the World

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
(2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

If you think like the world thinks, eventually you will act like the world acts. Unrestrained thoughts produce unrestrained actions. So control your thoughts by bringing them into obedience to the Scriptures.

Program your mind with the Word of God. The Word is spirit and it is life. When your mind is totally saturated with the Word of God, your will becomes strong to exercise authority to overcome every ungodly thought and evil habit.

Don't let Satan deceive you into sacrificing the glory of God in your life for a few moments of self-indulgence and sin. Restrain your thought life. Meditate the Word instead of selfish, carnal thoughts. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith.

Nita

Janet, my heart is hurting for you, and for Beth. :(   I'm hugging you too......on the inside.   You are a special lady.  I can't imagine how hard this is on you.  I'm so glad God blew you a kiss.  More kisses, Lord, for our Janet.

Nita

Marilyn, you aren't alone in not being able to post in the gallary.   Isn't this strange, that some can and some can't?
Poor Clive, who has to figure this all out.  He needs some gramma hugs, I'm sure. :)

Sue

I can't leave comments in the gallery either.  And I wanted to!

Janet, I pray that you get answers soon.  Stress is never easy to deal with.

Time to sign off for the weekend.

Night all.

Sonifo

Janet, I just got one of those exersice balls too..wanna start a plan with me?  What do you plan to do with yours?  I plan on doing abs and glutes.

Carol

Janet:  My prayers and thoughts are with you and Beth - Darrell as well.   You all need some tender thoughts.

Larry:  I see that you support your hometown team - we root for the underdogs & believe me our teams are always the underdogs, unfortunately.

We really need to take our walk soon but Don feels like staying in bed a little longer this morning - I hope he can doze a bit more.

The Center of the Earth (#20050709)
by Henry Morris, Ph.D.
"Thus saith the Lord God; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her" (Ezekiel 5:5).
It is doubtful that enough was known about geography in Ezekiel's day for him to be able to know that Jerusalem was "in the midst of the nations and countries" of the world. In fact, he also said that the people of Israel in the last days "dwell in the midst of the land" (Ezekiel 38:12). The last phrase could better be rendered "the center of the earth."

In any case, Ezekiel was right! It would have been essentially impossible to determine the center of the earth's land masses before the advent of modern computers, but this has now been done. A computer study sponsored by ICR over 30 years ago determined that the sum of the distances from a point in the "Bible lands" to all other increments of land areas on earth would be smaller than from any other point on the earth's surface.

Not only is this region (and probably Jerusalem itself, if we had precise information on the exact shape of the continents and their continental shelves) the geographic center of the earth, but it is also the spiritual center. It was there where Christ died and rose again and it is also there where He will come again and reign over the earth (Zechariah 14:4,9).

For that matter the New Jerusalem will, in the ages to come, be the center of the entire universe. We do not know where the center of the universe is now, for one cannot even define the center of infinite space. The best we can do is to assume that the universe is centered around the throne of its Creator from where it was "stretched out" in the beginning (Psalm 104:2). And of course when the New Jerusalem comes down to the new earth, "the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it" (Revelation 21:2; 22:3), and all who know Him now will live there too. HMM

Good Morning. Thank you Janet for the devotional thismorning.

Pat Now I can leave comments in the gallery and everything is fine there, but the only place I see the Google ads is when I use the AOL browser. They don't show  in Internet Explorer.

Morning!  Off to work I go.  Helping a friend out with some grout work.

praying, Janet!

I am posting my PaD's in the gallery.  figure I should start on July 1st.  I also left a bunch of comments on some new members photos.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  Moving rather slowly this morning as think yesterday is catching up with me.  I enjoyed doing the presentation but it takes a lot of energy.  I certainly slept well last night.

Today is my wife's birthday and we are meeting our son and his wife at a local restruarant around 2 pm to celebrate the special day.

Ruth Ann, that was a good report.  Also, Jen, it sounds like you will be getting fixed up.

Janet and Marilyn, thanks for the devotional thoughts today.

Janet

Thank you all for your caring words and your prayers.God will bring us through!

Soni, what are PaDs?  Never heard that term before.  Grouting is hard work, especially if you have carpal tunnel problems. (I do.)

I will try to get things in shape to leave for a few days, get all laundry caught up, and pack today.  Beth says she is really hurting today, legs feet and neck.  I do pray we get some answers!  I need to go out to her house and get her laundry going, too.

Larry, it is good that when you are tired like that, you sleep well.  I have a lot of trouble getting a good night's sleep.  Happy Birthday to your dear Pat, and enjoy the celebration.

Talk to you all later!

I came to read and planned to logout and return for posting at a later time....guess what?  Can't get the 'logout' to work....so will post now and try it again later :-\

Put on my sun clothes and had in mind to pop outside...then along came the cloud and wind again!  Drat!  Guess my ironing will get done after all.

Nice devotional, Janet.  So true.  The world seems to invade at an alarming rate.  I am so sorry that Beth is not doing better and will keep all in my prayers.  The young artist, Akiane, was on Robert Schuller one morning and she gave a beautiful painting to their church.  What an amazing talent and it must certainly come from God.  She seemed a very old soul...far beyond her actual years.

I have not been spending time on the computer lately and sort of reading all the posts at one sitting.  Nice to see the increase and members coming back again.  Went to the 'big' city to do some errands and spent a short time at the Folk Fest.  Some amazing dancers and nice music.  I avoid large crowds now and didn't stay to sample all the various foods.  Loved the colorful costumes the dancers were wearing .... made me think of Skief's (?) photo's.

Time to get busy again.  Has anyone ever visited the site of 'Art too Bad to Be Ignored?'  I found it kind of interesting:

The Museum Of Bad Art (MOBA) is the world's only museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, exhibition and celebration of bad art in all its forms.

Go to Google and search for Moba.  Could be I will end up on it one day.... ;)

Pleasant Day and God Bless.

Liz

CHANGE NOT THY FAITH WITH CHANGING TIMES

Janet

Liz, I went to a garage sale yesterday and talked to a local lady who said she and her husband spent many summers on your island.  Small world!  I bought a book from her for 50c about Mexico's Copper Canyon, really a good buy for us because we are going there in late December-early January.  Darrel has read most of it already, and the photos are great.  Original cost (in 1995) was $14.95.  She said they really enjoyed their trip there.

I have made many trips to Beth's, got her laundry done, bed changed, trash carried out, etc.  I counted my steps back the last trip.........175 steps.  So I will get my walking in today.  I also have my laundry all caught up, but I never have more than two loads to do, and today it was only one load.

Back to work now.

I never logout.

But when I do, (if grandchildren are here or something), it works.

I'm so happy about the high number of comments being left in the Gallery.

Clive worked on our Gallery quite a bit this morning (UK time) and I'm so happy that he did.

Hi, friends,

I've had to get some things done today, so now am ready to rest for awhile. Possibly a good "Sunday afternoon nap" on Saturday is just the prescription - maybe for both myself and Larry.

I've read through all the recent prayer posts, and hope to be able to update the prayer list shortly.

Y'all have a good afternoon.

Ruth Ann

Well I am home from work and really tired.  The BIG job I thought I had to do was already done!  What a pleasant surprise.  Our assistant manager did it with the help of one of the new employees.  This girl the assistant manager is only 21 years old and what a wise head she has on her sholders.  I have come to know her well, and I am very impressed.

Marilyn I copied your devotional out, I will be able to read it latter with my devotions.

It has been a really hot day here in the north.  Mother is really feeling the heat.  She is not allowed to have an airconditioner, so she needs to stay inside with the fans going.  If she spends time outside in the heat she quickly has breathing problems, as a result she stays inside most of the time.  She enjoys going to the mall as it is airconditioned, and that eases her breathing problems.

Wel I must go and eat.  John has prepared supper tonight, and that is a nice treat.

Bye for now

I missed posting yesterday...I couldn't get into CP.   :'( Then I was gone last night to have dinner with Tony and Charlene.  Took Ivalou with me.  When we got back to T & C's, we talked....and talked....and talked...and it was 1 a.m. when we left!! !! !!   ::)

Then I had to get up this morning and get ready for my Class of 1960 Girls Luncheon.  Lapel is having their annual garage/yard sale and Village Fair today so attendance was low at the luncheon BUT we did have three new ones that wasn't their last month.  Even had our class sponsor.   :) She is 91 and sharp as a tack!

I could leave a comment today on a clickable that Pat put on for The Gallery.  I was already logged on this time.  I never log out either.  And I enter CP by my email notification for NEM.

Oh, yes!! !!  I ordered a new camera! ! ! !  A Sony Cybershot DSC-H1.  It just came out in May so is really new.  I saw it at WalMart and then read a great review about it online.  My Sony Mavica FD-75 is 10x zoom and I really like that feature but I can't do macro.  The Cybershot is 12x zoom AND had a Macro setting.  I can't wait.

I can't believe it....I am sitting here about to freeze.  I sure hope I am not getting something to get me down.  I have to run the lights at church tomorrow and then I have a family reunion in the afternoon.

God Bless You All.....sure was disappointed when Karma said car interior's are NOT mouse proof!! :o
