Alma, I'm so sorry about Lionel.  Maybe the vet will find exactly what is wrong and treat him quickly.

Pat, Angel doesn't have the same address.  I'm not even sure what it is.  It's hotmail I know, but not sure about the rest.  I don't email her since she lives with me.

I'm tired tonight, so will say goodnight.  I didn't sleep well last night, so tonight's the night.  I'll sleep like a baby.

I guess I'm going to have to study how to do that correctly --- one of these days.   

Good devotional and great music....from today/yest.  It is 11 PM and I am sort of tired.  Finally got to the computer, had a busy day.

Goodness Marilyn, you have been a busy gal!  Etta Sue, I do so like your graphics.   Certainly catches one's attention.

Read all the posts and it is so great to have Chris & Margit back.  I do enjoy the music and that is a cute bird!  We get lots in the garden as Wendy puts out Suet, etc. and they have a feast.  Misty (cat) watches them with great hope.  So far, they escape being her tasty treat!  I try to keep her too stuffed with cat food to be hungry and have a large bell on her collar. 

Lots of rain here, but not like in California.  How terrible!  Hope things get better and the sun comes out again.  Isn't there a song about 'It Never Rains in Calif.?'

Remarkable Parrot

Three sons left home, went out on their own and prospered.
They discussed the gifts they were able to give their elderly mother.
The first said: "I built a big house for our mother."

The second said: "I sent her a Mercedes with a driver."


The third said: "You remember how our mother enjoys reading the Bible.
Now she can't see very well.
So I sent her a remarkable parrot that recites the entire Bible.
It took elders in the church 12 years to teach him.
Mama just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot recites it."


Soon thereafter, their mother sent out her letters of thanks.


"Milton," she said, "the house you built is so huge.
I live only in one room, but I have to clean the whole house.


"Gerald," she said, "I am too old to travel.
I stay most of the time at home so I rarely use the Mercedes.
And that driver is so rude! He's a pain!"


"But Donald," she said, "the little chicken you sent was delicious!"

Hello everybody....I haven't been able to come to the site these last few days...therefor I'd like to wish you all a great 2006 and may all your prayers be answerd, should it be God's will.

I've been back at work since yesterday and I feel tired already...need a long holiday  .  I hope to be more active here from next week when things start to get back to normal

Oh, dear...

The news is now untrue and only one miner has survived.

Such sad news.

It's just after 3 am and I just can't believe this news. 

We must pray for the families of these miners who were told first that 12 miners were alive and only one dead and now the news is only one alive and he might not survive.

So sad.

Off course you are right Pat.  These families will need all the help they can get...what better way is there than to pray for the families. I'll be praying with you! 

This is very sad...

I was elated when I read that 12 survived...now I am sad.  When I went to bed, there was no further news.  I guess that is good for me since I wasn't elated and then deflated in a matter of minutes.  The news is so sad.  I can't imagine how my mind would be if I kept a steady diet of seeing and hearing the news.  I still think for every sad/bad news report that it should be a must to report a good/glad news!  Even it out.

Another gloomy day in Indiana.  No rain so far but dark and dreary.

Hi everyone.

Indeed the miner's situation is sad and I can't imagine what those families have gone through the last 48 hours or so.  I was shocked when I heard them talking this morning that the laws are written such that the mine company has no responsibility to the families other than for salary that the miners would have earned. 

It is a beautiful sunny day here in Georgia and suppose to get up close to 70 degrees today according to the weather man.

I spent most of the day yesterday resting and don't really feel any less tired today.  Guess I am in one of those tired periods that I seem to have every so often.  I hope to feel up to going to choir practice this evening but if don't feel better by evening I will probably pass.

I did hear from my friend who is in Las Vegas.  He had just gotten Internet access at the conference and we chatted a little bit using MSN Instant Messenger and our webcams.  He will be speaking this afternoon around 5:30 pm my time and I will be able to watch as he will be webcasting it.

My Little Lionel is still on iv at the vets were waiting for the toxicallogy report.



This is my little Lionel, he weights almost 3 and 1x2 pounds so he is very sick, they said if I hadn't noticed RIGHT then We would have lost him. My little Lionel somehow got something poisonoius and it almost killed him, he had been on iv for 2 days, we are having his liver tested to see what happened, he is so small. Please feel free to pray for him.Alma

Hello everyone...

I have been so saddened by the terrible news from West Virginia.  I awoke this morning to hear breaking news that 12 had been found alive and see the joy on the families' faces.  Less than an hour later I arrived at work to find out the horrific and tragic truth. The families are in my prayers.

Alma, I've been thinking of you so much today, and praying for little Lionel and for you.  Hope he's better soon... please keep us posted, my friend.

Alma, he is so precious.  What a little darling.  I can imagine he'll be even more precious when you get him back home.

I slept on the couch last night, and fell asleep with the tv on.  During the night, I heard the announcement about the terrible news that 12 miners were dead instead of having survived.  I was immediately awake and shocked.  This is just very sad.  My heart breaks for the families.  We pray for them.  In spirit we come along side them, and hold them in prayer.

Hello again: Alma thank you for the update on Loinel. I am  still praying for the little guy. It hurts so much to see our pets sick and hurting.

Still nothing to talk about here. No rain today nice sunny day here all day long.

Alma, the bible tells us that God sees every sparrow that falls. He sees little Lionel now and hears your prayers.

The doctor says to keep taking the medications as prescribed and see the other doctor at my scheduled appointment. He says to avoid stress carefully. I've passed that message on to one of the bosses who is such a pusher and keeps the pressure on all the time.

I was going to post to you all but the phone rang and it was a very old friend of mine from school days and we had such a long chat about both of our husbands both passing away and how different life is now for the both of us.
