JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

God Wants You Well

"For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord"  (Jeremiah 30:17)

God wants you well! He wants you healthy and strong in every single area of your life.

He wants you to be spiritually strong. Strong in faith. Strong in the Word. Strong in redemption. Strong in the love of God.

He wants you to be well in your mind, to be strong and stable emotionally.

He wants you to have a healthy will, a will that's aligned with His will.

He wants your body to be well. He wants you free from the bondages of pain, sickness, and care. Free from the worries and woes of this earthly life.

Your heavenly Father wants you well!

What's more, in this day and hour, He needs you well. He needs you living in victory and healing so that you can teach others how to do it too. We're stepping into a time when that kind of knowledge is an absolute necessity. There's no more time for the Body of Christ to limp along, uninformed and unprepared for the devil's attacks.

In fact, here's what the Lord has shown me:

The further you go, the more dangerous things in the earth will become. People will have to grow in the realities of redemption and the "how to's" of living by faith in order to live in the great, overcoming way I have planned for them.

Jesus gave Himself in death so that we could be well. He was raised in life, ever making intercession for us now so that we can be well. And He wants us to be healthy and strong as a witness in these last days to a world that's filled with terror--a witness of His love, His grace, and His power.

Receive Jesus' healing power in every area of your life. Start applying it by faith right now. Commit yourself to getting well and growing strong in every area of your life today!

Good Morning Janet.  !:14 am.  I have been waiting for a call from John and it seems he has decided it is too late for him and I.

Did I miss an update from Papa John?

Janet on our weather.  It started raining this morning.  All the snow is slushy and the temperature was +5 today.  I wish it would make up its mind.  We are used to -40 during January.  I hope this mild weather doesn't mean a cold summer.  Time will tell.

Gord saw you were on line, how bout leaving a post.  OR did I miss it?  If I did I am sorry it has been one of those days.

Well I am off to bed, I have a big day planned today.

Love to all

What a wonderful devotional today . Its so imporant to stand upon the promises of God.
It is chilly here today with the promise of snow tomorrow.
I am of this afternoon , about my father's business. I am visiting a senoir couple who are struggling with the sickness of thier SON. Its so hard for parents to have to deal with this. The prayers of these parens for many years has been for the salvation of this son. So Please pray for this couple.
I pray the Lord will bless and keep each one of you today.

Janet thank you for the Devotional I have copied it and sent it to our Sunday school teacher, We are studying God's will for healing in our Sunday school class. This goes right along with  what he has been talking about.

I am a busy lady this afternoon. After Fay's I go to Versal's, then to Mervyn's to return something for Jan, then to Marie Callanders to buy Jan a Banana cream pie, then to Costco to pick up my medicine and buy a case of White Albacore Tuna and  a case of  Chicken noodle soup for Fay. I have to go to Eureka to do all this.

I called the Caregiver Registry yesterday and asked them to send a list of available caregivers to Versal so she can get busy to hire someone to replace me. I can't wait to get my afternoons freed up so I can  go to WM's on Mondays and work for Jan on 1-2 more days per week for a couple of hours. It will hurt financially at first but God will provide for my every need. so I am not stressing over giving up  those 20 hours per week. They only pay me minimum wage anyway and with private pay I get $10-$12 per hour.

Well must get the ball rolling around her this morning.

Any word on Cornelia yet?

Janet how is Beth?

Hi everyone.  Another beautiful, but chilly, day here in Georgia.  We had rain yesterday afternoon and more rain last night but all is clear now.

I am looking forward to the day.  I need to go to the library to pick up a couple of books I requested and also have some more webwork I need to attend to.

Marilyn, it sounds like you have a busy day.

Ruth Ann, glad to see you posting and to read that your foot continues to improve.

Janet, thanks for the devotional today.  Hope you find Beth feeling even better today.

Ruthie

Thank you Janet for the great devotional.  Hi Pat, how are you?  I will check in later.   God Bless Everyone.

Good Morning Everyone...

Thanks for opening our New Every Morning for today, Janet.  Hope Beth is doing better.  It sure was nice to see the photos of her in your gallery.

Hi Marilyn!

I'll be thinking and praying for you as you go to your friend's home, Melody.

Good intentions are no good until they are put into action

Marilyn ~ Yes, I did receive Garfield...but it has been so long since I have worked with PSP that I didn't realize they were tubes!  I just moved them from My Pictures to My PSP/Tubes file.  Thank you very much.

Nita ~ That's is a beautiful song you have written in Bev's honor.  She will be tickled pink when you can sing it to her in Heaven!

Janet ~ I am so happy that Beth is getting all the services done to her while in the hospital.  Perhaps she will realize that it is much easier for her to be in one place and people come to her for those services than you having to load her up and take her for those services.  There comes a time.....  p.s.  I have never put color on my hair!  Am I behind time?

melody ~ And I hope you have a good day, too!  Every day!!

Chris & Margit Saunders ~ Thank you for all the devotions and the music that you post.

Jane ~ Be a post hog.  Be a post hog!  We don't mind at all.  In fact, we love it!

Pat ~ Good morning.....how are you feeling today?

Sue ~ I was to return for my monthly visit to the chiropractor today but I cancelled it.  I told them I couldn't have more done because of insurance and money but they said it would only be $65 for the once a month adjustment.  I am as good if not better than I was December 29th so why put out $65 for him to say, 'Come back next month!'?

Larry ~ Thank God you are feeling like your old self again.  We all are concerned when you are feeling blah!

Ruth Ann ~ So happy to read that your foot is getting better and better each day!  You will be running laps by summer!!

Judy McKenna ~ Glad to see you posting.  We miss you when you are gone.

karmat ~ But you don't understand....you have a reason for your mind to be at a standstill.  You have two jobs, two kids and one husband!  Whew!

Ruthie ~ God Bless You, too!

I am praying for Papa John and Cornelia.

I am off to see Janet's Beth in our photo gallery.  God Bless You Both.

Not much planned today.  I am doing laundry and have meat out that is thawing for lunch.  I plan to cook today instead of nuking or going out!!!!!!!!!  What is wrong with me??

Rainy and gloomy day....a great day to stay inside!

Etta Sue, ouch $65 a month?  I only pay $30 cdn.  Much more affordable.  And even with the extra treatment, he still only charged me the same amount.  I feel much better today too.  I will still keep my follow up appointment tomorrow, but don't think I will need to return until next month.

RuthAnn, I'm glad to hear that your foot/ankle is returning to normality slowly.  We don't realize how important certain body parts are to us until we don't have use of it for whatever period of time.

I was hoping that there may have been news from Papa John, but I pray that no news is good news.

I have to get the laundry finished up and finish going through my closet and removing clothes that don't fit.  Some I am keeping as I hope to fit back into them one day and others I am disposing of.  I also need to get a bill or two paid and perhaps get the dusting done.  Have a great day everyone!

Pat

Yes, I've been checking in to see if there's any news as well on Cornelia.  Maybe later.

Hi Sue! :hello:

Janet

A big WELCOME to our new folks!  We are happy you have joined us, and hope you will jump rignt in and visit with us.  Let us know what your interests are, etc.  :)

Busy morning for me around here!  I have joined "Community Meltdown" which is through both the rec center and the extension center, and is a 9 weeks program of healthy eating/weight loss.  I have lost 14 pounds already, but the entry fee included blood tests, the weekly meeting with different kinds of information, etc. and I thought it might be a good encouragment, too.  Anyhow---this morning I went for my blood draw; then called for a chiropractic appointment (I go this afternoon at 4:30).  When I got home, Beth had called wanting her wheelchair, so I went by to get the footrest which had been being repaired, took that to her and was just in time to be in on her care plan meeting.  Her doctor is going to keep her hospitalized with skilled nursing care for the rest of this week and probably all of next week.  They are beginning to work with her on exercises, hoping to strengthen her legs and get them not to be so stiff.

Beth is getting excellent care, and the nurses are all so nice.  I can't tell you what a relief it is to me to know she is there, and is getting that kind of care.  I finally had to admit that I just can't handle her care by myself.  They will get whatever help is available for her when she comes home, too.  Whew!  I'm happy.

My appointment this afternoon is in Hugoton, and I talked to Diane, who told me that Abby has a basketball game at 3:15, so that means I will go early and get to watch her play!   ;D ;D  It's a good day!

Our weather is perfect today!  Really, really beautiful!  If we can't have moisture, I would like this all the time!

I posted that devotional today because I am in need of healing myself, and needed to be reminded that my Father wants me to be well and whole, spirit, soul and body.  So I'm glad it blessed others as well.

Larry, so glad you are feeling like yourself again---welcome back!  (((hugs)))

Thanks for the devotional, Janet.  I am always encouraged by them.

We are having the strangest weather here on the island.  Another 'red' warning about severe wind, etc. on the weather chanel.  Would dearly love to see the sun!

It is so wonderful that Beth is getting the help she needs and improving.  The specialists keep writing long letters to Wendy's lawyer about the help she needs, but her doctor never follows through and her health is getting worse every day.  Not possible to do anything about another doctor until the case comes to court in Sept.....unless they settle sooner!  All my money has been tied up in building the suite and helping with things when I moved in....so know where you are coming from Jane!  I will be so happy when all this is settled and she gets proper medical care and I am again in better financial shape.  Can't understand why these things happen, but know there is a reason somewhere!

Misty only has two more days of my poking medicine down her throat, then goes to see the vet...hope she is getting better.  Misty has become quite the indoor cat now, due to the rain and her mouth infection.  It certainly is nice to have her around....tho' Squeek doesn't share in the joy >:(

Do any of you remember the Burma Shave signs?

Just honking horn
Tis a folly
Using brakes

Well, that  probably won't inspire anyone so here is something that might:

"Courage is fear that has said it's prayers."

I can certainly relate to that!

God Bless,

Just dropping in for a couple of minutes, to see how Beth is doing and whether there's been anything new about Cornelia, as well as catching up with the news on everyone else.

Janet, I'm glad you've decided you can't do it all alone any more. After all, you need to take care of yourself, too.   I'm sure Beth would rather have her mother, but there are limits and it sounds as though everyone is at least in agreement.

I'm praying that not hearing from Papa John is a good sign.

Papa John

Sorry I haven't got back here before now.  Last night I seem to be having some problem.  Anyway, we came home for awhile this afternoon to get a little rest.  Rachel is staying right now and we are going back in a little while.

I am happy to report that finally today she seems to be doing better.  they got her up and had her walking down the hall with a walker.  Also this afternoon they are moving her to a regular room.  They had moved her from Critical Care to Special Care yesterday afternoon.

Thank you all for your prayers.  I believe prayers are going the big factor as our God listens to the hundreds of  his children who are praying for her.

Wonderful news, Papa John.     Yes, prayer really is a major factor in Cornelia's continued recovery.  I am also praying for you, that God will grant you strength through this time of concern...and that you will know His perfect peace.

Papa John, thanks for the good news!    :)  We all know the power of prayer and I'm continuing with prayers for her continued improvement and for comfort and peace for you and the rest of the family.

God loves you and so do we!

Good News Papa John.  I too am continuing to pray.

Janet, what a blessing for you that there will be additional help when Beth returns home from the hospital.

I've been out and about today as well as a bit longer than usual workday. So, just a quick note to tell y'all I appreciate the posts and am going to sign off and rest.

Such good news about Cornelia, Papa John.  I know you'd like the Lord to leave her here on earth a while longer.

Janet, knowing that Beth will have more care after she leaves the hospital, and finally it seems others are realizing that you just can't do it all anymore, is a very, very good feeling for a mother's heart. :) You want the very best for Beth and she is getting it.  I know this burn is a bad thing, but it might have been the thing that got everyones attention.

I'm listening to President Bush's speech, so will make this short.  love, nita

Marilyn

As  was trying to watch the President's speech, some  survey company called me as was asking me questions about the Democrats who might be running for Governor of California. How annoying can people get?

Well I got all my shopping and errands for others done today. I was home by 2 pm. When I delivered the pie to Jan we took time out to have a big pieces. I sure made a mess trying to get that  pie out of the tray and onto the plates.  ;D

Good New Janet I am so glad that  Beth will have the services of those in the community who do those kinds of things. I have been telling you for a long time that she was eligible for help.

Hello and good evening.

Not much going on in Western NC this evening.  Just kinda a slow rainy evening.  That is a good thing.

I am encouraged to read the "happier" reports from those that have been ailing.  Please know that you are in my prayers.

Jane, something you posted yesterday/day before reminded me that I never sent some of my Christmas cards out.  whoops.  Maybe I can send a Valentine's day picture or something.  Welcome to the life of Karma . . .

Time to get the boy to bed, then I am going as well.  Tomorrow is my "long" day.

tAke care!

JudyB

Well this has been an eventful evening.  We went to church for our women's meeting, and was asked to slip out to pick up some squares.  On the way back from the store the car quit.  Just quit.  I have lights, and the fan and that is all.  Itjust wouldn't start.   It is so frustrating when that happens, I have learned to do some troubleshooting, but today nothing worked.  The girls and I got home thanks to a lady who lives in the opposite direction to us.  Such generosity.  The car was towed to a garage, and I will find out tomorrow what is wrong.  I am thankful for our pastor, he just jumped i and took over and I can rest easy that all that can be done will be.

Papa John I am glad all is working out for you folks, and know that I will continue to pray.

Janet know I am continuing to pray for you Daryl and Beth as well.

I managed to hear about 1/2 of the President's speech.  Then I fell asleep. :-[

I'm thankful that our God has privileged us to share in prayers for Cornelia - and to see His gracious answers!  Father, You are so good!  Oh continue to comfort and strengthen both Papa John and Cornelia through our Lord Jesus.

I'm just as thankful for God using our prayers to help Beth!  May He continue.
