Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Morning Devotional...

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13

Sadly, often when we experience victory, the flesh would be praised.

Let us learn this well, that experiencing spiritual victory does not impart might or redound to our glory.

We are still weak. God is strong. Give glory to God always--for every victory is His victory.

The most productive Christians know that the battle is the Lord's.
--Margaret Peters

Witnessing Thy power to save me,
setting free from self and sin;
Thou who boughtest to possess me,
in Thy fullness Lord come in.
Mary E. Maxwell

To God Be The Glory
(Click to hear music)

God and our Father:
To Whom be glory for ever.
Galatians 1:4-5

Words: Fanny Crosby
Music: W. Howard Doane

To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Refrain
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Refrain

Great things He has taught us, great things He has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

Refrain

I've found a site with great Christian mp3s, free to download.  I've been listening, downloading, and want to make a cd to listen to.   I thought I'd share it with you. :)  They have everything from Christian chamber music to Christian rock.  I think it's so wonderful that some Christian artists will let us have their music for free.  The website belongs to Pastor Mark Magill.  He has an internet ministry site.  He lives in the same area of Jane and I, but I don't know him...I just found his webpage from a posting he did in a group I belong to.

Good morning!  We are getting ready to go work out and swim.  That will feel great after missing two days.  I feel like I'm letting my Walk Kansas team down, got to get some miles!

I wish everyone a God-filled day today.

Pat, so good to have you back!

:) Good morning ladies & gentleman ... NO I have not died or forgotten about all of you it is that I have been busy and also that our internet provider has pulled a fast one over our eyes and has limited our time online so I have to be very careful of which boards that I visit and so ... it has been really crazy !!

<3 My loving husband has been doing very well and he saw the DOCTOR this week with his CROHN'S and he was told that things are really looking good and that he does not have to see him again for 6 months  & he still has to go in for BLOOD WORK & other tests but continue to keep him in prayer !!

Well, gotta rush out so take care and do drop me e mail from time to time and tell me what is new with all of you at least I can get that if I cannot be here to share with all of you !!

Love & Hugs, KAREN

Good Morning everyone.

The weather here is WONDERFUL.  only +12 but the sun is shining and snow is melting.  We had the grader on the road leading to our house.  It was all spongy, but it is better now.  We can actually see grass.  Muddy grass but grass none the less.
Karen I am glad your hubby is doing so much better.

Janet enjoy your swim and walk.  It is good to feel invigorated.  I am sorry that you are not sleeping well,  stress does that.  I am praying.

Pat welcome back to CP  It is nice to see you again.

I had a phone call yesterday about our aunt.  She was 90 years old.  She is the only of our Mothers sisters still alive.  She still cooks Sunday dinner, complete with up to 10 veggies and 3 - 4 desserts!  She is absolutely amazing, wish I had that kind of energy.

Well Have a good day everyone, love and blessings to everyone.

Hi Pat,

Thank you for the encouraging devotional.  I will pass this on to my son, Casey, who is struggling through Spanish (his 3rd language) and Advanced Calculus.  Poor kid.

It's good to see all the pictures in the gallery, by the way.

Bed time!  A busy weekend awaits me in the morning.

Good Morning, Pat thank you for the devotional this morning, That has been MY scripture ever since I first got saved. When I was trying so hard to quit smoking I had to recite that scripture  pretty often during each day.

Karen so good to see you come in and post, that is good news about your hubby.

JudyB how is your family? Is everyone getting well.

Nita thanks for posting that link I have put it in my favorites.

Here it is the last day of March time to fill out my time sheet again. Not many hours  for this one, I pray there will be enough to meet my obligations that are due out of the first of the month paycheck. I know God will provide. I am trusting God.

Hi everyone.  I am sitting here in shirt sleeves an we have the house opened up to the outside, which is very enjoyable.  We had a nice group of men at the Friday Men's Coffee and our friend, who winter in Florida, are back home until about November.  He was at coffee this morning.  These are the friends that we often go out with to eat.  It is nice to have them back.

We were without telephone all yesterday afternoon.  Again this morning I checked and no dial tone so unplugged the Internet Modem, Router and Vonage Adapter and turned off the computer.  Then I plugged things back in one at a time and rebooted the computer and we had our new service with the dial tone.  Pat talked with her sister in Missouri and I just made a business call to a number in Alabama.  So far, so good.  I now have free long distance throughout the United States and Canada.  So Pat, if we need to speak on the phone just let me know and I can call you.  I put your number in the stored phone book.

Tbear, do you have any choice of Internet provider?  I certainly wouldn't want one that limits my time, certainly to an unreasonably low amount of minutes.  It is good to see you posting again as we have missed you.  Are you still working?  Glad to read that your husband is doing a lot better.

Marilyn, glad you were able to use the different mask and get some good sleep.  Did you feel more awake?

JudyB, some of these older folks are really something.  We have a lady in our community who recently celebrated her 100th birthday.  She still lives alone, does her garden and drives herself to church and the grocery store.  Glad it is warming up your way.

Janet, hope your ladies come to paint today.  Glad to hear that the new MRI went well for Beth and it was especially good news that your mother didn't have a heart attack.

Nita, I will check out that Christian MP3 site when I have time.  I loaded the page and will bookmark it.

Pat, thanks for that devotional today.

Etta Sue, it sounds like you need to get some extra rest to ward off the cold.

Kevin, Ritz, Jeanne and Melody as always it is good to see you posting.

Guess I had better get to work on my family reunion home pages.  I got them basically setup and figured out how to password protect all but the front page.  Now I need to put some content on them.

Etta Sue

Kevin ~ I guess there are downfalls to wanting to be like John, the Baptist!   ^-^

Karen ~ Glad to see you posting and to find that Rolan is doing well.  I sure couldn't work with an ISP that limits my time.  No way.  Isn't there another provider you could get?  It might cost more but at least you don't have to stress yourself out everytime you are online.  And you have four people in your house that wants online!  Surely there is something out of Ft. Wayne for you!  Hi, Kayln!!

The Spring temperatures are here and so are the rains today.  I haven't seen many flowers but the greens are greening up.  I noticed this morning that it is getting green between the rows of corn stalks left from picking corn last fall.  My trees are getting buds.  My deck is covered by those buds that the winds are blowing off the trees.  So spring is coming!!!  Hey, it is almost April...gotta be Spring, right?

Also us Hoosiers are changing our clocks for the first time in years.  Now we will be like the rest of the nation in getting out our instruction books to change digital clocks, VCR's, TV's, DVD's etc.  And I thought it was bad when the lights went out.... :idiot:  Oops!  I forgot...the clock in the car will need changed, too!  Geesh!  Now I know the advantage of NOT going to daylight savings time.

I just ran my clothes dryer for 45 minutes and then realized it was on Fluff Air.   >:(

Time to do some house cleaning.  Blah!!

Good morning all! I pray that each of you is receiving the Lord's best in your life. Grace and Peace to you. Pat, that was a great word sister! This place makes my coffee taste so good!  :coffee: Don't forget ... check in to the gallery, and remember...you can post there too! Show everyone what it's like in your neck of the woods.

Etta Sue

/Got home from work about 1:30 and I brought home a load of laundry with me. It doesn't look good for Joanne. Her liver is  toxic, her bowels are leaking and she isn't eating at all and only taking sips of water . She is on morphine drops and said that even her skin hurts, she hurts all over and keep saying she is cold.
Please keep her in prayer.

I finally finished reading all the posts from a few days.....Nice to see Karen again and thanks to Nita for the music site.

The kids were away for a couple of days.  So I had the place to myself, along with the two cats.  Squeek was so lonely that I spent  lots of time upstairs with her.  She followed me up and down and was not a happy camper.  Strictly Wendy's cat first...everyone else is last.  Didn't go into their bathroom...seems she shredded the toilet paper to express her frustration. ;D

Went for a walk today...finally.  Not been in the greatest of health, but that too will pass.  Lovely day between showers.  Had my umbrella, so ignored the early 'April Showers'.  They could have waited for April 1st..... ::)

After two yrs. one would think that I would be over being nervous alone in the house....So used to the secure feeling of Condo's.  Was not as bad this time, so guess there is hope for this Chicken Little....'tis a very large house!

Nice  devotional Pat.  Thanks.  Like: "Content makes poor men rich; discontent makes rich men poor."
~Benjamin Franklin~

Reminds me of a little poem:

TIME  TO  GO

Please don't be mad,
If when you go,
You die without
A lot of dough.

For you will find,
When you are gone,
There isn't much
To spend it on.

                :) :) :)

Okay!  Time to go and get Misty inside for the evening.  Otherwise she tends to go hunting Racoons.

Pleasant Evening/Day and God Bless.

I am so blessed. I got to talk to two of my granddaughter's on the phone. Nicole is is now living with my daughter again and away from her father. Kim lives in North Carolina and is out here visiting Carole and Nicole. I haven't seen or heard from her or my son Ron  since they left California about 13 years ago. We are now going to keep in touch. I am so blessed. I have been praying for the restoration of my family.

Thank you Jesus

Marilyn I rejoice with you.  I know this must be a wonderful feeling -- and an answer to a grandma's prayers.   <3
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Larry Hanna

It looks like I am first to post on the April Fool's Day.  With the beginning of day light savings this evening I wonder how many will be late for church tomorrow.

We have had an early morning spring rain but it is suppose to be another nice day.  Don't have anything significant on my schedule this morning.  I will work somemore on my family reunion website and pay some bills.  This evening the College Basketball Final Four Tourney gets underway.  There will be just two games this evening.

Marilyn, sorry to read that the pastor's wife has reached a terminal stage in her illness.   When the body starts shutting down it is not a pleasant thing.  Wonderful that you were able to talk with grandchildren after such a long time.  If they have Internet access perhaps they will get Skype and then could speak with you without incurring cost.

Liz, it is interesting how cats have a way of expressing their feelings and displeasures.

My daughter's first week on the job seems to have gone well.  She was immediately given a major responsibility to find a new warehouse for all the files they have.  She made a Powerpoint presentation, that she had prepared, to higher authority and her proposal was accepted and the contract signed.  Now it is her job to arrange for and see that the move is accomplished in the next 6 months.  She will be working a part-day on Saturdays as long as she is taking the college class.

It is about time to head to coffee.  Hope everyone has a good day.
