Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Morning Devotional...

The LORD deal kindly with you.
Ruth 1:8

The lovely virtue of kindness is stated three times in the book of Ruth. It first appears as the kindness of Jehovah (1: 8 ); secondly it is found in the kindness of Boaz toward Ruth (2:20); and finally kindness is seen from Ruth toward Boaz (3:10).

First, in a pagan land God shows kindness toward the cursed; next, in the fields of Jerusalem a wealthy man shows it to a stranger; and finally at his feet the recipient returns it again.

What a beautiful progression of God's kindness at work for and in us (Rom. 2:4):  first from the Father, then from our Kinsman-Redeemer, and these in turn prompting our response back to our spiritual Boaz, the Lord Jesus Christ.
--Sam Thorpe

Thy loving kindness is better than life.my lips shall praise Thee;
Thus will I bless thee, I will lift up my voice unto Thy name.

I'D RATHER HAVE JESUS
(Click to hear music)

I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
I'd rather be His than have riches untold;
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or land;
I'd rather be led by His nail-pierced hand:

refrain:
Than to be the king of a vast domain or be held in sin's dread sway!
I'd rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today.

I'd rather have Jesus than men's applause;
I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I'd rather have Jesus than world-wide fame;
I'd rather be true to His holy name:

He's fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;
He's sweeter than honey from out the comb;
He's all that my hungering spirit needs -
I'd rather have Jesus and let Him lead:

Thank you Pat and thank you Heavenly Father for your kindness toward ME!  The thought never ceases to amaze me :o !

And God's beauty never ceases to amaze me, whether part of His natural creation (mountains, flowers, a river flowing over a rock), or something He's allowed man to create (a simple marble, a marvellously engineered bridge, a cool sports car), His beauty tells me about HIM.

I guess that is why I love photography and was attracted to and joined this site.  To see His beauty, and to share my captures of HIM and gloriy HIM, and to do so with Christians who have similar interests.  Our gallery is packed with great examples of folks who are eager to share God's beauty.  If you haven't been there for a while, you are missing half of what this site is about--photography!

1Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Thanks for the good word Pat! I couldn't have said it any better Kevin, that's the whole reason I joined, and enjoy photography too! To point out the wonders of what our King has done! <3 In the words of a classic..."Our God is an awesome God!"

Papa John

Good morning eveyone.  We have a cloudy day with promise of a few showers.  This is just another kind of good weather.  It takes both sunshine and rain for us to survive and God gives us both.

Acts 14:16-17  (God) Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
(KJV)

Papa John

Eph 2:8-9  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.(NIV)

Another col day but at least the temp is +9*C.

Interesting Pat the topic you took for today's NEM.  A pastor on CJTK spoke on that topic on Monday.I think of that hymn the Gaither's sing Going Home.  Yea and I can't wait.

I have a big day ahead, so I am getting going.  Mom has a bad cold, and there has been an appointment set up for her at the Doctors.  Then I want to slip over to the church and speak to Pastor Jeff.

Bye for now

Love Judy

Kevin - God has surely blessed you to know and perceive His blessed works!  Sir William Thompson, Baron kelvin of Largs, a great scientist of the last century, when asked why he persued science, said, "To see what God has done."  What a joy we humans can have when given an eye to see!

Our Surprise for You!

We have a new section in our Photograph area of the boards.

Kevin suggested it be called "Koinonia Gallery" since we're going to highlight a member's photographs and we want our members to comment and compliment and in general have a good time of fellowship together as we do that.

Koinonia's primary meaning is "fellowship, sharing in common".

So, please have a look at our first "Koinonia Gallery".

I'm Ba-ack!!

But for some reason I couldn't get on CP yesterday, Tuesday!  Was CP down.  All my other 'must do' webs worked fine.

I have read all the posts since I last posted but I just can't comment on each.  Just know that I have prayed for Jane, Tom, Bry, Marg, Janet, Beth, Geordie, and all the others whose names have gone awry already!

My trip to Grand Rapids was great.  Now Nancy wants to take Walter back weekly for bio-feedback therapy.  So I will be taking them to Grand Rapids, May 11th, May 18th and May 25th.  We will leave early in the morning, he will have therapy in the afternoon, spend the night, he will have therapy that morning and we will return home before dark.  It is at least a five hour drive there and of course, five hours back even though we are going south....haha!  They are trying to get more positive movement out of Walter's right leg and hip.  He has muscle movement but needs his brain trained to move those muscles.  He can do it on command but not voluntarily.  After May she will see if she wants to continue more therapy...the rest of the summer.  Plus he will still have Speech Therapy in Bloomington on Wednesday's.

So I will be busy the month of May but it is a good feeling busy...knowing I will be helping someone have a more fulfilled life...for Walter AND Nancy.

Okay, now today, I have to mow or go to the auction barn and purchase some sheep or goats.  It rained yesterday.  Then I have to sweep this house.  Cats!! !!  Why do they have to shed?

It is good to be home!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  I was determined to get here and catch up before I started on some other projects and problem solving today.  I just looked the the winning photos and they are magnificent.

Yesterday we worked 4 hours in installing a new 200 gig hard drive (which I was able to get at Fry's for $69 rather than the regular $149 price that I saw at a couple of other places).  I wanted to clone my existing C drive over to it and make it my new C as the old one was probably 6 years old.  After some trial and error we got that done.  Now I am having a few problems that will have to be solved, such as losing my sound and the ability to download files and save them.  My friend took my old hard disk that still contains my system files and documents to his house to store and I hope I don't ever have to use it because that would mean something terrible had happened but it is there if ever needed.

Papa John, we are also awaiting the arrival of the rain that we are to get later today.  My front yard has now greened up.  It is always late when it greens as it is bemuda.  The fescue yards have been delightfully green and lush for sometime and each rain makes them more so.

Janet, it sounds like that gentleman should be a lot of help in getting through the loops.  My disabled daughter-in-law is still trying to get a hearing on getting disability and has had to resort to getting her Congressman's office involved.  They kept telling her they couldn't find her papers and supporting medical records, which she had submitted twice.  Amazingly after the Congressman office got involved they were able to find them.  What is so frustrating is that there apparently so much fraud and yet people who really need it and are worthy now have such a difficult time getting it, as you know from Beth's previous experience.

JudyB, sorry to hear of your swollen knees as that sounds very unpleasant and painful.

Good to see everyone posting today and Pat, thanks for the fine devotional.

Pat

Etta Sue, love that "Welcome" sign.\

And I don't think I thanked you for the CP graphic redo either.  I'm sorry.  I must get it uploaded.

Thanks again for doing that.

Thank you for the song in today's devotion!  It is so comforting.

Etta Sue:  Welcome back!!!

Marilyn:  Did I ever tell you how impressed I am with your upward outlook on everyday life?  You do really keep the faith.

Actually, there are so many in here who truely "keep the faith" and are quick to cheer each other on.  It is like being wrapped in a warm blanket to read these notes.

Hello, friends!  I'm home again, after attending the art show in Johnson.  This was an area-wide middle school art show, and I was amazed at the quality of the entries!  I had a room where I put some of my artwork on display, and the kids rotated into and out of the room, for 20 minute segments of time.  I talked to them about art, asked and answered questions.  It was fun, but most of the kids were so sleepy they sat and yawned.  ???  I might have thought I was boring them, but other presenters said they were the same in their rooms.

They had a nice lunch for us, sandwiches, veggies and fruits, then had their awards assembly and presented the medals.  Nice day.

Larry, I hope your daughter-in-law gets some help getting her disability soon.  If we hadn't had someone who went to bat for Beth, she probably wouldn't have hers yet.  We were told it takes an average of FOUR years to get approved!  :o >:( :(  This just should not be!  And I sure agree about the fraud in the system, such a shame and a waste.

Beth called and left a message that she had a therapy appointment for 2:00, so I called and told her she HAS to tell me these things ahead of time.  I was just leaving Johnson at 2:00. Sigh......

God is SO GOOD!!!  I was having a  :coffee: there at the school, and at the same table was a lady from Hugoton.  (She was judging the kids' show.)  I knew her from Aglow meetings, so was chatting with her, and she asked about Beth...........of course I told her what we have been dealing with, and she immediately reached across the table, took my hands and began to pray for us.  What a blessing!!  Thank you, Lord, for people who pray for each other.

I need to pack for my Walk!  My friend will pick me up tomorrow afternoon, and I have to go to Hugoton in the morning; then teach my class in the afternoon.

We had a killing frost last night.  There goes our fruit, again.  :'(

See y'all later!

Thank you Carol. I love Jesus there is no other way to be just be myself. every day is a blessing just to be here on my  Father's earth to do His will in helping others to the best of my ability.

I am sleeping so much better now that I am using the CPAP machine and keeping in on instead of taking it off after only a few hours. I am up to 7 hours every night now. Praise the Lord. God is so good.

I am going to have  :coffee: of tea now and just relax for the time it takes me to drink it. I am reading a book about the Tai Chi form that I do to see If I can learn more about it and if I am doing it using the correct form and moves.

I'm going to go to bed early, have a busy day tomorrow and likely a late night.  I will need to go over and get Beth showered before I leave.

Pastors are gone to District conference, but one of the laymen handled tonight's service very capably.  Praise God for willing workers.

I will try to pop in tomorrow, then will be among the missing until Monday.
