JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Morning Devotional...

Say unto the goodman of the house, the Master saith unto thee, where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with My disciples? And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. And they went and found as He had said. Luke 22: 11-13

Here is a fine example of giving to the Lord. The disciples, as instructed by their Master, asked for "the guest chamber."

The word denotes a lower room, used mainly by travellers to unladen their animals. The "goodman of the house," however, granted them a super-ior room--"a large upper room furnished."

His generous heart prompted him to give the best he had!

Take My Life, and Let It Be
(Click to hear music)

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1,2

I went for a little visit of five days (to Areley House). There were ten persons in the house, some unconverted and long prayed for, some converted, but not rejoicing Christians. He gave me the prayer, "Lord, give me all in this house!" And He just did.

Before I left the house every one had got a blessing.

The last night of my visit after I had retired, the governess asked me to go to the two daughters. They were crying.  Then and there both of them trusted and rejoiced; it was nearly midnight. I was too happy to sleep, and passed most of the night in praise and renewal of my own consecration; and these little couplets formed themselves, and chimed in my heart one after another till they finished with "Ever, Only, ALL for Thee!"

Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose.

Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

Ok then it is me.  I still get the red X.

I went with Mom to Huntsville tonight.  It was a nice drive.  Ther was a rolling fog in areas, it was pretty to watch, and not heavy.  No danger to driving.  When we arrived home all the lights were out, and as we came in we found lit candles, brownies, tea and coffee made.  A real nice treat that Melaura came up with.

Well Mom and I are heading to bed.  Will be back in the morning.

God bless

Ritz

Good Morning all you wonderful folks!  :coffee: Sorry I haven't put up any photos lately, but the big move has consumed most of my time. Just wanted to pop in and let y'all know what's going on. My little family is packing up and moving to Huntsville Alabama.

158,000 of the nicest people you could ever meet! As soon as we get settled, I will post new email and whatnot. Meanwhile I'll keep checking in here. The Message Boards on my website (Click the blue box at the bottom of this post) will also remain active. Thanks for being a huge encouragement to me, and I thank you for your prayers for our family durring this move.

God's best to Y'all! <3    Ritz

Please go HERE to post your Bereavment messages to our own Suzanne Harris.

I want to thank those of you, Kevin, Ritz, Larry and Nita who have posted in the prayer request for Suzanne's Family. This is such a difficult time for them, who have lost two sons in such a short period of time.

Hi Alma I am doing great. Still hanging in there working about 4-6 hours per day and doing a lot of stuff on the computer. Now that I am in a house I have yard work to do and  all that kind of stuff. Thanks for asking. It is good to see you again.

On Monday Fay told me she was going to cut my hours down to 2 ½ hours per day. I told her that I could not  work  that small amount of hours. That afternoon she called me and told me not to worry that she wasn't going to cut my hours. I think that she realized I would be forced to give her notice and find another job if she did that.

Tonight the church is having another business meeting to vote on whether or not to take on a $50,000 loan to do some repair and beautification.  I just do not feel right about this. Please pray that God will give me guidance in what I should vote.

I understand, Marilyn.  When I type I am thinking, "Gee, I am typing this real good."  But when I proofread, I find I made all kinds of mistakes.  Then I proofread.  Sometimes when I proofread, what I typed reads like an insurance form...meaning, what is that suppose to mean?  So I understand.  And my keyboard works fine so it is my typos that are mistakes.

Larry ~ I really liked the look of the IE 7 Beta 2 version.  But right now the pc is working fine.  Maybe next week, I will try the new version again.  One upload a day so if it messes up the pc, I will know what caused it!

I, too, am praying for great, fantastic news for Beth, Janet and Darrell.

Ritz ~ I have been through Huntsville many times.  Lately in I-65 but I certainly know where Huntsville is.  My husband's family is from Anniston, AL. what is left of them.  Love the red dirt down there.  You see black dirt and brown dirt here but no red dirt.  Also lots of cotton fields, pecan groves and mistletoe!  And roads named after people, like Pat Scott Road, Larry Hanna Boulevard, Etta Sue Gann Avenue, etc.!!  Neat!

Today is laundry day and packing day.  I have the packing for two days down pat!  Also going to Kitty's this afternoon to see if I can help her find out why she can't get on the internet.....she has Sprint DSL, too!  Like mine.  Blind leading the blind there!! :idiot:

Be back later tonight!!!

Ed, depends on what program you are using to listen to music.  I use Windows Media Player.  When I click on the title, it quickly opens another page and then the player comes up.

I used to use Real Audio but got so much spy wear on my computer that seems to have ceased since I stopped using it.

But this is in your computer that the change has taken place as all the links are just being posted the same as they always were.  We're actually just copying and pasting.

Hope you get to hear them.

Etta Sue, thanks for naming a street after me, that is a first!  :)

Just finished my lunch and want to get a little rest this afternoon as have felt tired this morning.  I have been doing some website mainteance.  Yesterday I finished setting up the I-tunes player and the library of all of my music.  I think it works better than the MusicMatch I have used for so long.

Ritz, I am sure you will enjoy living in Huntsville, AL.  My best friend moved here a little over a year ago from there and speaks very highly of it.  Hope your move goes smoothly.

Alma, it sounds like you were ready for a few days with your friend being away.  It is good to see you posting again.

Pat, hope the headace goes away quickly.  Thanks for the devotional thought today.

JudyB, that was a nice surprise that your daughter had for you.

Pat

Larry, are you using IE 7?  If so, does the Member Map work for you?

Now Etta Sue, Huntsville is off Highway 11 and is about an hour from us.....  ::)
I know, I know, you are talking about the Huntsville in the US, not Canada.

This is a beautiful day, the temp is 19*C and will be warmer soon.  BUT the black flies are out and if we go outside without a bug jacket on we get eaten alive.  I know what the problem is with the lawn tractor.  The gas line is old and has started to crack... Thus air is getting in when the tractor is sitting, and it looses prime.  Sooo I will be ordering a new gas line.

Melaura is going to Pitch and Praise in Paris ON this weekend.  She has grown spiritually so much that I am awed at God's work.

I re-sewed the brides dress that I had to alter last night.  That was the second time She kept changing her mind on how tight she wanted the bodice and whether she wanted to wear an undergarment with it.  The wedding is this weekend in Cuba.  All the arrangements are made and the wedding is free.  How that works I really don't know.  $1200 for the air fare per person though, but that covers everything, hotel, food, and other options as well.

Well have to go, time is flying.

God bless everyone.

Carol

Marilyn:  I just can't imagine the torment that your friend, Suzanne has gone through.  I left a little note.

We are back & must get ready to go again on Friday for then we will watch two grands for 5 1/2 days.  Lordy, give me strength!   :D  Last night, one grandson did a great job of speaking our & singing - even did a waltz on stage as King in the Princess & the Pea.  The girls looked too grown-up, this was a 3rd. grade class.

Larry:  When I read your note, first thought the sewing machien would't start.  You have had too many problems with that car & I sure hope that they finally fixed it.

Pat:  You have a headache.  Here is a cold compress - close your eyes and lie back & relax....

I could read all the notes when we were gone but didn't sign on as it is son's computer & you know how they are.

Carol

My headache is now gone.  Great, eh?

Has everyone voted in the poll above?

What a wonderful verse for all of us today on our left sidebar:

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Etsue No the old  mower has bit the dust. It would cost too much in parts to fix it and then it may not run. The throttle cable is frozen and has to be manipulated by hand.

I am outta here to walk the dogs.
