Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

Jesus Teaches[size]
Matthew 18:10-22  NLT

10"Beware that you don't despise a single one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.

12"If a shepherd has one hundred sheep, and one wanders away and is lost, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others and go out into the hills to search for the lost one? 13And if he finds it, he will surely rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn't wander away! 14In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father's will that even one of these little ones should perish.

15"If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the fault. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. 16But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses. 17If that person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. If the church decides you are right, but the other person won't accept it, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector. 18I tell you this: Whatever you prohibit on earth is prohibited in heaven, and whatever you allow on earth is allowed in heaven.

19"I also tell you this: If two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. 20For where two or three gather together because they are mine, I am there among them."

21Then Peter came to him and asked, "Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?"

22"No!" Jesus replied, "seventy times seven!

How do you react to the failures of others?

The rabbis taught that people should forgive those who offend them--but only three times.  Peter, trying to be especially generous, asked Jesus if seven (the "perfect" number) was enough times to forgive someone.  But Jesus answered, "Seventy times seven," meaning that we shouldn't even keep track of how many times we forgive someone.

We should always forgive those who are truly repentant, no matter how many times they ask.

Marilyn, I didn't forget!

My trip to Indiana University was fine.  I am so glad I had my GPS with me.  I am so used to turning on South I-65 from I-465 that I did.  I should have went past that intersection and turned south on SR37.  But with the GPS, I put in a GoTo to IU and we traveled some narrow two lane roads but didn't have to backtrack!

I checked my credit card that I paid CoreComm, my old ISP, with and saw that I hadn't been credited yet.  I called them.  They said they never received a letter from me for them to cancel.  I mailed it May 11th.  How do you prove you sent a letter when they say they didn't get it.  Everyone gets my checks when I send the bill payments...Why didn't they get my letter?  So I have another letter to mail off tomorrow and I will call them Monday to see if they got it or not.  Now I have to pay another month of CoreComm and I sure needed that 11/12th of what I already paid to CoreComm.  Grrrrr!  Computers!!!!  You can't live with them and you can't live without them!!

Nita

Good evening, dearhearts. :)  (is a dear heart one word?)

My sis and I just finished watching Love's Long Journey on TBN.  It was a Hallmark Original.  I watched the first one awhile ago.......Love Comes Softly.  I think that was the name.  Anyway.......it's so good to watch a movie where Christianity is viewed as desirable and the Lord is honored.

I received a letter from my doctor's office today.  My cholesterol is down to 127!!  I'm on Lipitor, but it was higher last time I had it checked.  I think this is the lowest its ever been.  A few years back it was over 300.   Thank you, Lord!!

Kevin, I really like the song lyrics you posted.  Though that one wasn't Delirious, they really have  deeply devotional songs. I think one of my favorites is Find Me In The River. (I think that's the name)  My daughter gave me a CD of theirs.  All of their songs that I've heard are raw and real and filled with worship.

I'm posting a couple of new pictures of my dogs. haha  Just in case anyone wants to watch them growing up.

Etta Sue, thank you for the devotional.  We absolutely cannot hold on to unforgiveness can we?  A great reminder.

My sister had the same isp problems with Netscape.  She didn't cancel in time, though she had notified them of her intention to cancel.  She just paid the difference rather than argue.   Me.......I woulda argued a little. :)

We've had a windy day here.  I planted a new hydrangea and had to shield it with a box, cut out bottom and top, with just the head of the plant sticking out. :)  It'll get strong roots and then I can take it off.

I'm really enjoying the Reflection pictures.  I voted, but it was hard just choosing 6.

Blessings and favor in Christ.   Nita

Hi to all its been a long time.  Since I was last on my new job is great and very busy so when I get home I do not want to go to the computer.  Please continue to pray for my wife Noreen as she is not getting any relief from pain but the good thing is she does have an other appointment at a spine clinic in Mississauga which is outside the city of Toronto on the 14th. of June.  So I ask that you all could pray that day at 10-15 a.m. that the Lord would give the doctors the wisdom what to do.

Hi Judy B. and John got your mail it sounds exciting.  How are the girls.

Well I must go as you will see its early in the morning.  May the Lord richly bless your day to all.

Etta Sue

Me again.  I am all packed and ready to head to Ohio for four days.  So I won't be posting until Sunday night or Monday.  Then the week starts over again.

I am still fuming about my old ISP.  How do you prove you sent a letter?  You can't.  You have to take their word for it.  I just wish my bills would get lost...that never happens.  I told her that in my 63 years, I have never sent a letter that wasn't received!! I even asked her to look in the trash.  She said if they had received it, it would still be on file and it isn't.  I can't believe that.  And I received an email this morning saying that a friend of theirs had trouble cancelling from CoreComm also...saying they never received their letter of cancellation either.  Must be the norm for CoreComm.  But I will call CoreComm Monday and every day after that to see if they got my letter and ask what my crediti will be.  Then I can argue about the amount of credit!!

This is a lovely, calming promise.

Etta Sue:  Thanks for today's devotion.  Those GPS do come in handy - Don now has one and I am sure that it will be a lot more useful as we go along.  Definate to take on a hike - just to make sure we take our bearings before hiking so we know where to return.  Have a safe trip!

Al:  A morning prayer for Marbeth and you.

Gord Brown:  I am sorry to hear that Noreen is still in pain - prayers for her as well.

Larry:  You sure have been on the go a lot.  And, you are coming to Denver.  I hope that it is at the end of the month as we are most likely to be away - going west for a change.

Nita:  It is really tough to find a decent  movie, isn't it?  Glad that you found something.

Carol

Samantha

Etta Sue, send your letter where someone has to sign for it, and the post office will send you a receipt showing who got it to start with.  That is what I do when I have to mail something important.  It costs more but is worth it in the end.   Have a safe trip.

Samantha :)

Al Moak

Thanks for your prayers Carol - I hope we find out something very, very soon, as we have to leave for Olympia Tues. morning.

Etta Sue - I very much agree with Samantha - you need to send important letters by registered mail.  If they have to sign for it you'll know they got it and you'll have proof.

Pat

Good Morning Everyone!

Nice to see you, Gord.  We'll keep praying for Noreen.

Al and Carol, go to this link:  http://www.biblecentre.net/

Al, praying for you and Marbeth at this time.

Praying for all of you.  Please welcome our new folk in the Introductions area.  Thanks!

I'm going back to lie down.  Have been up most of the night.

Talk to you later

Good Morning I slept sooooo good last night I didn't wake up once. I am so glad that I got the sleep problem taken care of and thankful that God used someone to tell me all about Sleep Apnea and the CPAP machine.

Pat: I am so sorry to hear that you had a bad night.

Etta Sue: thank you for the devotional although you are already on the road with your friends. I hope you can see that we are all enjoying the devotional this morning.

Hey Al  praying for Marbeth here.

Hi Carol: I have seen photos of you and Don on SN.

Hi Samantha, we haven't seen much of you around  NEM for awhile. Good to see you posting again. How is your hubby doing?

Hi Nita the dogs are looking good, what little sweeties.

Hello Gord nice to see you again too. Praying for Noreen here.

I have had some extra time this morning so I cleaned the Kitchen and bath. Today At Fay's I am making Spaghetti for her. I have to tell you another funny story on Fay.

Yesterday when we went shopping she had me ask at the meat department for the hamburger with the most fat in it. She doesn't like the lean meat she says that because of Ronald Reagan making the farmers quit feeding the cattle corn, the meat is no good because it doesn't have anything but false fat in it.

Anyway she told me when I fry the hamburger to make sure I put in lots of Shortening, don't brown the meat and leave most of the grease in it. YUCK and more YUCK needless to say she will be eating every bit of that spaghetti by herself. I won' be  sharing it . Fay always tells me that I don't know how to cook that her mother  took several hours to prepare a meal on a wood stove. She wants me to cook with so much shortening that it is sickening to me so I don't eat it. She keeps telling me that a little bit o fat won't hurt me.

When I go to Margaret and Dale's today I am fixing fried chicken, vegetable, mashed potatoes and gravy for them. She won't tell me how to cook. So it will be a pleasure to cook for them.

HI everyone.  It is almost noon and I just finished my lunch.  I want to rest a little before Pat and I head for the church.  She has quilting this afternoon and I have Calvin Cove.  So I will just wait for her to be finished since my activity only involves about 30 minutes or so.

Etta Sue, sure you have probably left but I was going to suggest you fax them your letter rather than mail it.  I came across a website that will send faxes for free.  It is at http://faxzero.com/ and was recommended in one of the newsletter I rread just a few days ago.  I haven't tried it but it looks like it should work well.  I have a fax machine but with the Vonage I think this will work better for faxing than my fax macine.

Al, having an angiogram really isn't bad.  Years ago when I had some of them done they didn't give you the drug that causes you to forget about the experience.  There was only momentary pain involved.  The last few I have had I really don't remember much about the procedure.  I do remember the one I had when I had my first heart attack and hearing the doctor say call the surgeon.  I knew that was great but was in a lot of pain at the time and they kept me pretty well sedated until the surgery could occur a few hours later.

Pat, sorry you had such a tough night.

Marilynm glad to read that you had a great night of sleep as it makes such a difference in how you feel the next day.

Carol, we are only planning on being in Denver over the weekend at the end of September and the beginning of October and will be busy with the family reunion.  At this time I don't think we will be doing any sightseeing and will leave to go back to Kansas City as soon as the reunion is over and then on home.

Gord, glad that you new job is working out well.  It sounds like it is keeping you pretty busy.

A special hi to Nita and Samantha and to all who stop by later today.

Anthony

My sincere apologies for this brief message, but I've had some hospital appointments to attend and I am so rushed.   I  have read the messages.  Have a great trip Etta Sue, sickening to read about your old ISP.  It's a good job you ditched them.

The weather is getting really hot for the U.K. and it is affecting my mother a little.  I've had to get the fan dusted down and hope it helps a little.

Praying for your wife Al.  I do hope everything is alright.

Sorry again for the miserly message, but thinking of you and remembering you in my prayers.

Anthony.

Etta, I was also going to mention sending the letter certified or receipt upon delivery.

Marilyn -- FRY HAMBURGER IN SHORTENING??????  we in the South tend to fry a lot of things, but if something has its own fat, well, yuck.  I wouldn't eat it either.  She's right, a little fat isn't bad.  BUT, she's not talking about a little fat.

It is naptime at the shuford house, so  runnin' for now!
