Raining and storming this morning. But, we did get a little respite. From the Fuji. Second one edited in Gimp with a "Fake HDR" filter. I think it did quite well.

Beautiful clouds. Wonderful shots!
It's hard for me to say which of them I like best. Both are very dramatic and eye-catching. The detail in the second makes me lean slightly that way.
The yellow tint in some of the clouds in the second make it look more threatening. Great!
Thanks, y'all. I like the fake HDR best. We had some torrential rains this morning but to look outside now, you'd never know it. And, hot? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO yeah.
I agree...the HDR in the second one really gives it a 3-D look.

As much as GIMP is derided in the photoworld, I think it does a great job. Especially, with the added filters & plugins... like this "Fake HDR".
I'm very satisfied with GIMP. I think it works best for people who enjoy scrounging around for plugins and scripts to enhance it.
I don't have plugins, but still love the pictures!
