I'll bet you thought this chap was in the Vatican (no not the Pope) This is, believe me, the original sculpture that Michaelangelo made of Moses, the one in the Vatican is just a copy, Moses like me loves being in the shade when its sunny and hot as it was today, actually the sun never shines on this side of the building.
Now then, why is Moses sprouting horns? I don't know the answer to this, I thought in that the amount of times Moses pleaded for the Children of Israel, they represented the horns on the alter that a penitent would grasp, confessing his sin before the sacrifice was made. Some say this was a mistake by Michaelangelo, I don't know the story of that.
Carpe Diem, I may have had latin shoveled down my throat at school, i.e. parrot fashion, but I don't know the translation of this either, any takers?

Must have something to do with that sitting in front of bar and cocktail lounge??? ;D
I googled Carpe Diem-I only looked as far as Wikipedia--Here's their explanation and more---http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpe_diem
The school Pat and Murray went to had Carpe Diem as the logo. I was always told it meant "Seize the Day".
Now I will see what you found out. LOL I guess I was told right!
