In December, I spent ten days canoeing through the Florida Everglades, all the way from Everglades City to Flamingo. Our group split into two teams for this (affectionately dubbed the "Mighty Meese" and the "Kung Foo Roos" for our ongoing debate over whether a moose or a kangaroo would win in a fight between the two) and these two teams met up in the middle of the trip, at Highland Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. We were together for two days. Both evenings, we had a big bonfire on the beach, around which we sang worship and camp songs and prayed together.
