It's just a feeling, of course, but I had the impression in looking at this great shot that there was not a sound to be heard. The impression is of a very, very quiet and peaceful morning.
Wow what a beautiful sight. Yes Al quiet and peaceful almost like the world is preparing for the noise of the day.
Now I am sure Colin could write a poem to this picture!
Hi JudyB.....lovely picture indeed. Have studied it and read the comments and also your email and...well....wait an see! Just have to get on the big computer to send what Ive done whenever I can get near it as Gregory monopolises the computer..grrrr :clobber: God bless.
THE MORNING MIST
The mist of morn that slowly drifts
Across the fields and trees at early dawn
And speaks to me in its watery drops
In the mist of time of a morn long gone
In the dawning light of its breaking hours
The air around was hushed and still
And all of nature seemed to hold her breath
For creation's Designer was headed that day to Calvary hill
And misty dewdrops seemed like the tears of God
Weeping for His beloved who would taste of death
Quiet the morn of utter stillness
As the mist of wetness came from its breath
When the rising sun would evaporate the vapour
And drink the tears of the morning dry
A tree would stand on a lonely hillside
And on its wood a man would cry
Forgive them Father for they know not what they do
And again; It is finished! as He bowed His head
Then slumped the frame of His body broken
And on the tree hung the Saviour dead
O misty morn that seems to weep
Countless tears that mingle with my own
Your quietness allows me to think of my Saviour
As I see in my mind that tree alone
Where life for life was freely given
Pardon from Him I can insist
And all His love, compassion and forgiveness
Will enclose me in like the morning mist

Wonderful photo and great poetry
Wow! I have to say I have never inspired anyone to write a poem about one of my pictures before. Thanks Colin, I loved the poem!! <3
Thank you Marilyn and perhaps one of your pictures will inspire a poem. Take care and God bless
Thank you Jeannine for your lovely comment. God bless
Because we moved from the desert to Germany, I was captivated by the fog in the early morning hours -- we don't see fog that much here although I've captured a few photos.
There is something almost ethereal in fog ... a quiet softness all around.
The poem is just beautiful as well.
This is why I love being at this site.
Blessings, Francine
Sorry WTx....I got you mixed in with Marilyn. Your picture is beautiful and I was very inspired to write that poem. The idea was forming in my head the moment I saw it. God bless.
Wow! Lovely photo and what a nice poem to go with it. Colin, you're a star!
Hi Pat I thought I was a star until I joined christianwriters and then they clipped the wings of me! :'( I just hope Keith does not read this. 0:-) God bless
Colin
Putting what you wrote beside the picture, well amazing!
