Both Very nice captures of this historical place.  Ilike the silhouette very much. I also like the depth in the battlefied.  Good stuff.

I once visited Gettysburg and with some friends, went to the "Bloody Angle" where Armistead and his men almost broke the Union line, and where he and most of them were killed or wounded before the Union forces prevailed.

I was quite overcome by emotion, thinking of the thousands who fell on that field in less than an hour's time, each willing to die for his cause.

It is, as Lincoln said, holy ground; it is a tribute to man's courage and fortitude, and a warning against man's pride and willfulness.

I particularly like your shot from Little Round top.  Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Yes, I agree Barbarian...  I found it difficult to tour this area as well.  Been there a couple of times with Jack and we found it very emotional.

I always like sunset shots and these are good.  I like the silhouette on the top one.

When you go to historic spots like this it is easy to relive the history in your imagination.  So many have died.
