Almost continental, but its only Lord Street in Southport, still that is quite a good place to be with cafe's, its a fine mile long tree lined boulevard, a good art gallery, not the type of place you could have a weeks holiday at, but but to have a day just relaxing, looking at shops (expensive, but only if your buying), listen to the many outdoor musical events just across from where this picture was taken. Take a side street and your in Fuego's Mexican restaurant. There's a Church of England church a few yards away, that does light refreshments. Southport has Britain's second longest pier, three quarters of a mile, and it barely reaches the sea. Here I was sat having an ice cream, when saw this chap with a candy striped jumper, sitting under a parasol , with another pink parasol just behind matching his jumper.

Nice pick up on the colors! That looks like a lovely place to stop and enjoy a cuppa.
It is the boulevard, is very much like the Champ's Elysee, in fact the one or the other was modelled off it.
Sounds like a nice casual visit and you enjoyed yourself-by the way you have a great eye as well! ;)
A good place to go for a day trip. Lovely place to relax after scouting around in the shops. Good match with the colours.
