These are really good, Marilyn.  It always amazes me how work like this can be done with saw and chisels, etc. from a log.  Good photography, too, by the way.  :thumbsup:

I can't imagine the talent that whoever does this sort of work has.  I sure don't have any of that kind of talent.

Those are really neat Marilyn. Whoever carved those are really talented. We have a couple of similar carvings here in my home town, although i would have to say, not as good. Two tree's in a local park were felled but the trunks were left in the ground and someone has carved a couple of animals out of the two trunks....I do have some photos somewhere of them.

I don't think I want that cat in my yard!  Excellent photo.  I assume most of these photos were from up near Orick.

These photos were taken at the Loggers fair early this year.

I was driving through Orangeville, the town where Ian lives, and saw some of these as well cut from trees that they had cut down.
