Thought I'd share a couple images from my October trip...

Beautiful, Ken. They'll make wonderful memories of your trip.
Great shots, Ken!
Beautiful!
Thanks everyone. It is a pretty amazing piece of geography that our Lord created!
Ken, those two photos are amazing. I'd certainly love to be able to view that scene. What a wonderful Creator we have!
I have a "thing" about big old trees and I love that old timer in your second photo. ;)
Anymore to share with us?
That tree in the second photo looks like a tree in some of my photos of the south rim. I will have to run off and see if it's the same tree.
Amazing part of planet earth, isn't it? I was there in 2006 for a full day. I wish I could have stayed at least another day. The view from the top is really fantastic. Your shots remind me of the the shots I took. And the tree in your second photo, . . . I think I shot that too. Maybe, maybe not, but it sure looks like the same one.
I missed the last few replies here, going all the back to November of last year :-[ , sorry about that Pat and Glenn! These were taken from the North Rim, so probably a different tree than Glenn and Mario captured. And Pat, I am sure I have other shots of old trees, and I think I can dig up a really old one to share here soon...
Those sneaky trees! Moving from the south rim to the north like that!
I noticed something interesting in the first photo.
There is a prominent rock layer in the upper left of the photo. It lines up perfectly with the horizon. I wonder if it is the same rock layer on the other side?
