Never give it a thought, but it looks like it, the people who own the shops may possibly live upstairs, neat arrangement. The pigeons on the square belong to RR, they're wind tunnel test pigeons.
I'll bet they are fast pigeons having had that wind tunnel experience.

We have places in strip malls that have residences above them. They usually here are rented out.

That's a lot of pigeons! We don't seem to have many here, but we sure do have plenty of Canada Geese!
I know where there's plenty of Canada geese, Pennington flash. Yes they are fast, retired racing pigeons, some of them only know Italian as they came over from St Marks square in Venice.
