reflections of the clouds in the huron river at gallup park.
I took advantage of a cloud shadow to get the bright reflections.

WOW that is beautiful! Wonderful shot!
So, you don't think it's ttoo dark? That was the comment I got from some people on another photo site.
Personally No I don't. I am not an expert, I just know what I like. My daughter wanted to know what the focal point was to be. U read your intro and she agrees that it isn't too dark. I like it.
John just said if you make it any lighter you loose the definition of the clouds.
I actually tried to lighten it up in iphoto after I got that criticism. If I had shot it as a HDR It would have been possible. Alas I lack that ability and photoshop too!
You could tonemap it; I gave that a try, and it lost all the mystery and drama I see in the original. Sometimes, you break a few rules and you get something better than you'd get any other way.
I like it as it is. It's a fine picture, full of interest and wonder. Or so I think.
I agree!
Nicely done! I love sky reflections in water. As far as being too dark, I don't think it is. I think if you lightened it up, the clouds would end up looking washed out. :)
A+. I've looked at clouds from upside down, just leave life's illusions be. It is a wonderful shot.
