I have never been to Seattle.
What is the tower? Looks like a water tower.
Interesting picture.
The tower is called the Space Needle, is 605 ft tall, 90m ft taller than our own Blackpool Tower
Thank you for the info.
Someday I would like to go there.
How did you manage to get that shot? Is there an observation platform somewhere across the bay, or did you take it from a plane?
It certainly is an iconic shot.
That space needle was built for the World's Fair (I forget what year :-\ ) and there is a rotating restaurant on the top with an awesome observation platform! I've been there and eaten in the restaurant. (In 1985)
This is a great shot of the area.
I was coming into Seattle on the Bremerton ferry, which crosses Puget Sound. One of my favorite rides. The scenery is just astonishingly beautiful, as it goes by the coves and forests.
And there's a great view of Mt. Ranier.
