This wasn't the intention today, but then I saw something I wanted to photograph, my intention was to have a look round Manchester university campus, but I was sidetracked, happily though, on the bus into Manchester I noticed the bus destinations projected onto the seat adjacent, the camera was out straightaway.

Spinningfields area in Manchester is another area of the city I've never seen before, some remarkable modern buildings, of which this is just a taster.

Then I made my way to a small park called St John's gardens, didn't photograph the garden itself maybe some other time, but Beetham tower overlooks it and took a couple of snaps of it, this one shows the fin on top of the building, what it is I've no idea, but at one time the wind used to make it hum, affecting the filming of Coronation street.

Having had a rest I then went down this street, it is full of doctors and solicitors offices, and every door was sporting these super burnished brass placks, as I went down the street, it just got better and better. first this red door.

Then a blue door, at just the right angle the placks were reflecting the sunlit houses across the street, the blue was a wow.

I don't know what the colour of this door was, as it was amour plated with placks, it was like a war memorial. If it was a doctors, these could be the names of all their clients who've died because their treatment wasn't successful, but that was well, what can you say?
