Great pictures, but what is - are those "trees" ?  I've never seen anything like those before. But then again, I don't get out much :)

The are actually Palm trees. They grow in this part of the desert because there is a stream nearby.

Yes! On #1 and #3 I was on my stomach. I got a little dirty but it was worth the shot.
