Fantastic shot.  Well done.  Was there lightening?  Have you ever been able to get lightening pictures?  That is something I would love to try.

Looks like its clearing to me, those under clouds (I didn't say thunder) are an interesting concept and with a little more focal length, could have been the whole picture, yes I think the picture just needs the merest strip of foreground and the tracery of the tree to the right and left just to give weight to the foreground, and thos clouds being the main point of interest in the scene.

Thanks.   The storm was just approaching, and I was starting to get rain as I stood there.    I was doing an HDR, and so I had the camera on a tripod, getting the necessary exposures (which is why the clouds stand out so well).

Those ragged little nimbus clouds often presage a short but heavy rain, as they did this time.

The light in the distance is a sunset, not lighting.   I didn't see any lightning during the shot.
