Earlier that day we set off from Ober Lahnstein, on an eight mile cruise down the Rhine, it was overcast all day, but to sit out on the back of the boat and watch the Rhine barges passing us every couple of minutes was an atmospheric and unforgetable experience, and this was about the best shot I took that day. The train station was just outside the hotel, amnd with trains running every few minutes, I could have gone down to Frankfurt, for a day, and then come back to Wetzlar home of Leica cameras, factory is now in Solms.
