I got up early one day last week, after wet snow had fallen and frozen during the night. The trees were all frosted with it, and as the sun came up, I got this shot.

What a lovely image. I do like it a lot seeing the frost on the trees.
I wish I could capture the sparkle as the sun shines on the bits of ice but I've tried and it never looks as good as in real life.

I found a way just the other day. I use the GIMP as photo software, but I bet Photoshop has it too. Do you remember this one:

GIMP has a filters/light/sparkle option. It takes highlights and makes little sparkles on them. You can adjust the affect. The one above is relaitvely subtle, and it incorporates the colors actually there. It looks more like it did when I saw it, and I think it's better, don't you?
I'm going to look through PSP and see if there's an option like that.
I wouldn't want too much of it but so often I walk through the sparkly snow-laden bushes and my photos never have the effect I saw.
Thanks for telling me this!
I love the first shot posted here. My immediate thought rested on Moses and the burning bush. :) Gorgeous sunset!
Two things I try to make time for everyday. Sunrise and Sunset. Awesome!
