 Except the Lord build the house , they labor in vain that build it; except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

All our efforts are in vain if we do not have the Lord in what we are doing doing.
So many people are going each day and left God out of  the picture.  But I believe when we commit all that we do unto God , we will have God's blessing and that is what's important every day of our lives.
Whatever we do today we need to include God and we know it will not be in vain. :thumbsup:

Spot on, we all forget to, well I do include God in our day to day plans, there is another scripture that goes well with the one you've just quoted, can I think of its wording? Can I heck, its something about what we may do or accomplish this day, to always remember that it is in commiting your plans to the Lord and letting Him decide on the outcome.

The last half of that verse is my life verse since I am in security on the night shift. I know that without HIM I would not have a chance of keeping safe on my job. The same goes for the first half of the verse. If God is not part of your family, you don't have a chance of building a good home either.

Thanks Sum miron. I do know the scripture you are talking about but can't get the wording either   :)
