Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
I looked at todays verse, then I looked at it again, then I looked at it againand then it hit me. Judas Iscariot, he must have had a love for silver to betray his Lord, and by hanging himself, he certainly didn't prosper.
Joseph was also sold for a thousand pieces of silver, and what happened to his family, Jacob nearly went to his grave grieving over this very special son, then the whole family had to go down to Egypt to buy food because of the famine, so in a physical sense they didn't prosper, but God had other plans, reconciliation, repentance, and Joseph's forgiveness, look at this, it was Joseph who went into a private place to weep with very mixed feelings, not least being with those he loved again, despite the hardship and suffering, that had been done to him.
We who by our sins and our inheritance in Adam's original sin sent Him who had no sin to suffer on Calvary, I guess that the reunion of Christ and those who are is will be like that of Joseph and his family.
There is another similarity here between Joseph and Jesus, Joseph was cast into a well a pit if you like, and then sold to some passing Egyptians. Jesus was put in prison when He was taken after Judas had sold Him to the Jewish leaders, and prisoners of that day were put in dungeons underground, they had to be lowered down, and then brought up for judgement. Now then a further interesting thought, who else will go into a pit or well?
Satan of course, just as Jesus was put into a dungeon, and then the judgement, so will Satan be cast into a bottomless pit before his sentence, it will be done to him as it has been done to Christ. Midrash teaching.
