5.25 p.m.
I was reading one of my notebooks today. I keep "snippets" in them.....
LADY JANE GREY:-
"Lord, help me to believe that You are good even when bad things happen".
These words from a dear Christian woman who was beheaded.............another political pawn.
I've never read that book....why was she be-headed?
I just saw something about Lady Jane Grey on "Crown and country" with Edward Wessex. (Prince Edward) on PBS yesterday.
4.35 p.m.
Jane Grey was 17 when she was killed...She was the great-granddaughter of Edward V1 and was proclaimed Queen but only reigned for nine days, Queen Mary ousted her to maintain the Tudor succession. Six months later Lady Jane and her husband Lord Guildford Dudley were executed.
Yes Marilyn I saw the program same months ago over here. I think this is a tragic story. It didn't do Mary much good later either.......
It seems there has been so much of tragedy and loss in the lives of the Royals.........
