These are all great Banana Bread recipes.  How I missed these....I don't know.

Also Sue, I took it upon myself to put the title in the text area.  Reason being so if someone copies and pastes this recipe so they can print only the recipe, the title will be in the printout!

I have 3 bananas to use up., but as I will be away until Sunday, can anyone tell me if I can freeze bananas, then use them later on to make banana bread?

I'll be watching for your replies!

JUDY  Absolutely "No"...

Recommendation is to keep bananas in the vegetable compartment at the bottom of your fridge...in their skins...The skins may go brown but that doesn't matter....the fruit keeps well that way....

NOTE ...IN FRIDGE... (NOT FREEZER).....

My son and I have bananas coming out of our ears now...

Jenny.

JUDY

Gosh I'm even thinking 'nanas in bed now.......

Forgot to tell you, if you have bananas on a bunch DONT split them until you need one...always better to buy on a bunch...keep better....FRIDGE..ALWAYS.

DONT FORGET THE SKINS MAY TURN BLACK
                    THAT'S O.K.

Hm., wonder why you shouldn't split up the bananas Jenny.

I have some very ripe bananas... so I will make some muffins tomorrow.

no chocolate chips for me though...have you ever heard of anyone NOT liking chocolate chips???., well, thats ME!! :-[

Judy

If you buy 'nanas individually you will see that sometimes they have a small or sometimes large split in the skins near the stalk...and then they don't keep long before going mushy.  Buy a nice bunch and keep them in the fridge-veggie keeper box on the floor of the fridge and they should keep for approx a month...Just snap one off carefully when needed.

Even a slight split in a 'nana skin will cause the fruit to go mushy.

My veggie man always sells these off cheap.

Your 'nanas pal.  ;)

Well, thats news for me, Jenny....keeping bananas in the fridge.  I've always just kept them hanging on my wooden banana "thingy"...lol - (you know what I mean).  if they will keep THAT long, in the fridge, then I'll sure do that.

thanks for the tip! :D..love....Judy

Etta Sue - ... would you ask Ivalou if she wraps them in any special way?  I can't see why you couldn't freeze them either.
