Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Hey all.  Found this site while reading a post on another forum.

Looking forward to sharing the beauty of God's creation we have here in Alaska, and looking forward to seeing what others have to share.

Hey there, Andy!   :hello: I love looking at photos of Alaska.  I don't know if I'll ever get to see the beauty of your state first hand, but my daughter has.  And my sister goes there often.  I look forward to your sharing more photos.  Great to have you here.

Hello from Spudville, (Idaho) Andy!

Welcome to CP!  :welcome:

I'm not real regular around here, but if I could be, I would.  Maybe eventually.  Other priorities and health problems keep me from too much time here at this point in my life.

I saw your website and sent you an e-mail today.  Nice to know there are more Christians out there in Smug world.

Blessings, Kathleen

Welcome Andy!!

It has been a dream of mine and my husbands to come to Alaska and see the sites!  Perhaps some day.

Welcome and enjoy our company!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I live in Anchorage, but get around the state as much as possible.  I try to shoot as much as possible, but family life often keeps me busy.  I've got two active boys, ages 6 and 9, and an amazing wife who is an elementary school teacher.

My favorite subject is God's creation, and yes, that does include people, so I shoot a broad variety of subject matter.

I'm always happy to answer any questions I can about Alaska, so please feel free to ask those questions!

How long have you lived in Alaska?  Was the eagle shot taken near Eagle River?  (I know there are eagles that hang out near the fire station there.)

I went on a little cruise in the Fiords and saw eagles there.  Have you gotten to shoot any calving glaciers yet?

I'd better stop, I'm making myself homesick for Alaska!

Hello Janet.  The eagle nest was located in south Anchorage.  That year, there were two eaglets that came out of that nest.  Unfortunately, a strong wind took that tree down since then.

A friend of mine photographs the Eagle River eagles on a regular basis.  I, however, have never done it.  A lady feeds those eagles during bad cold snaps, and this activity offers the opportunity for some pretty dramatic in flight eagle photos.

I've done some landscape work of glaciers, but no calving activity.
