Hello all from San Diego,
not only am I new to the site but also a new Christian. I'm a former ( for lack of a better term ) Athiest. Yes I was a 40 year old NON-BELIEVER. I found Christ in the most peculiar way though and now my life is just so much richer and vibrant. My marriage and family (which by the way I almost lost hence I found the Lord) is so un-believably better now. I'll save my testimony for those who ask.
As far as photography goes, I'm a freelance photographer in San Diego CA and I work alot for a The North County Times local paper. I started a company called Mil-Spec Photography. Yes it sounds very military and it was when I fisrt had the idea. I was going to specialize in Military, Law Enforcement and extreme action photography but wound up shooting everything from kids parties to photojournalism.
Once people get past the name and see my work it's a bit easier to get customers. I should change the name but I have so much invested in it and I do have quite a bit of Military and Law Enforcement work going on now. I'm preparing for a deployment with U.S. Marines that are going to Iraq. I'm not sure if I'll actually be going to Iraq yet but I'm working on it. For now I've been shooting their training for a book I'm working on. I actually made contacts that got me on a U.S. Navy carrier group for two weeks at my church. After a year of begging and getting shut down by the military for my book, I go to church of all places meet one person and now I have the key to the candy store if you will. One of my fellow church members is the officer in charge of authorizing media personell and their assignments. Hmmmm.... who would have thought to look there. Well life is great and I can't thank anybody except Christ my Lord and Savior himself. I just wanted to say hello to all and I hope to be able to contribute something here. Thank you for having me.

Hey Nick!
A great big :welcome: to you! I'm so very happy that the Lord sought you and found you and you accepted Him as your Saviour. What a wonderful life ahead of you.
I'm really looking forward to seeing your photos.
This is just so thrilling.
I'd love to say lots more but it's after 1 am and I'm just in from a harrowing (hope that's a word) journey in almost blizzard conditions. So , I'm off to bed.
God bless
Pat
PS... I nearly banned you! HAHAHAHA! When I saw your name, we've been so troubled with porn and spam since before Christmas and we're banning so many that are tarnishing our boards with terrible stuff.
So glad you posted your intro.
I promise not to ban you!
Just a huge welcome to you here at
:cp:
Hey there, Nick! :welcome:
So good to have you aboard. You mentioned you would share your testimony when asked .... well, I'm asking. :)
Thank you for sharing with us.
God does, indeed, work in mysterious (to us) ways ... but brings all things to reflect glory to His name.... again: :welcome: Welcome to CP.
Hey Nick,
Welcome from Japan! My son is studying in the San Diego area and attends San Diego First Assembly.
And, I'm asking, too. Testify, please!
In His Grip,
Kevin
Hi Nick I'm asking too. Welcome aboard.
WELCOME NICK!! I echo the others here - please do share your testimony. If you'd like, though, do it in our "Thoughts for the Week" folder, as that's the place we mostly go to chat, etc. Blessings be upon you!
Hi Nick! A big WELCOME from central Indiana.....thus known today as COLTS COUNTRY!!
Nick, sounds like we all want to hear of your testimony! :)
Here's a good place to post it:
Testimonies of our Members (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?board=52.0)
then it will be there for others to see and won't get "lost" in the backlog of our "Thoughts for the Week" posts.
Talk to you soon!
Our Lord works in a wonderful way to reach people at all ages. He knocked on the door and you answered. What a blessing, indeed.
Hi Nick!
A big country WELCOME to you from "spudville". That's what my sister calls Idaho. (she still lives in No. San Diego County) I grew up in North San Diego County, so I am familiar with the North County Times. My kids were born in San Diego and Tri City.
I'd also love to read your testimony. It will be an encouragement to all of us, but especially those witnessing to current Athiests, to know that they can and do come around to a personal relationship with Christ. Welcome to the Family of God, brother! And, welcome to CP. We're glad to have you with us!
From, Your sister in Christ!
