Welcome, Wiggy!
It's great to have you on the site. Looking forward to seeing some of your photos in the gallery as soon as you're able to put them there.
I love your state. It reminds me a lot of Northern Ireland with the hills and valleys.
Again, :welcome: to
:cp:
Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm actually more out in between the coastal plains and the mountains - east of Raleigh, if that makes any sense. I'm about an hour's drive from the Atlantic, or 3 hours drive from the Great Smoky Mountains. Not much in the way of hills around here. And I'm a recent transplant, I've lived all over. Born in Illinois, raised in Denver (mostly). Lived in Omaha, Milwaukee, Chicago, Albuquerque, Camp Pendleton, CA, and Okinawa Japan. I get around a bit.
I went ahead and posted a photo to the gallery. Hope you like it.

Hey Wiggy, do you know Danville, VA? I have a friend there and my late hubby and I stayed there for a couple of weeks as Jack was getting a certificate from Liberty the year before he died. We flew into Raleigh.
Great to have you. I'm off to see your photo. You can upload 4 per day in the Gallery. ;)
Glad your wig is wam, Wiggy, I don't like cold ones. WELCOME!!!
Re: your photo posted....Indeed, He does! I enjoyed the picture and was struck by the shadow before I read the text included in your remarks. Nice timing for the shot, my friend. The image speaks volumes. :)
Happy Birthday Wiggy!

Thank you very much! 45 years old. I dunno, I never thought I'd live to this age. I feel ancient now.

I saw how the shadow of the telephone pole was shaped, and had to wait for the sun to drop low enough and it just worked out. Turns out the sun only sets in the right direction for this to happen in the winter. In the summer months, no shadow. Kinda of funny, huh?
