Greeting Everyone!

I am new here so please bear with me. I have trouble navigating most boards, so I am asking upfront for some help.

A little about me:My name is  Zenobia and I am fifty six years of age. Originally from Chicago Illinois but have lived in Minnesota for the past fourteen years. My hobbies and interests include Boyds Bears, audio-books, old time rado in any form ( audio or at Radio Spirits)
and finding out of print books. My profession has been pretty much always involved with
children or womens issues. I have no degree except in life and have taught as an aid in
public and charter schools, helping children with special needs. As a teen I taiught phonics an wod pronunciation to second graders.  I have also worked as an advocate with battered
women and found that the healing for my own past in this area was tremendous.

I am also a writer/speaker/teacher and am often asked to speak in churches across Minnesota and I do a little acting as well. I would like to get my little puppet ministry going again because it was such a blessing to so many.

In 2001 I became ill and unable to work. I had some kind of mystery neurological thing which
God healed me from. During that time on my back ( I was unable to walk) God spoke and I listened ( for once). I am now working on a book that tells my life story with all of its tragedies and triumphs. I also do a weekly encouragement letter called "Warm From The Dryer" and another called "Nibbles In The Night" for those with ailments that prevent sleep.


I have five adult children. Twelve granchildren, one of whom I have raised for fourteen years. He is now fifteen and really loves the Lord!  Teaches Sunday School and is unafraid to share His love of Christ with anyone. His father, my second son, has AIDS and is in the wasting stage.  It is difficult for us right now, but we know that Gods plan will never fail.
He will never leave or forsake us.

Thats all for now!  Sorry about the length but  wanted yawl to get to know me a little.

Hello Everyone!

Hi Sister Joyce...thanks for the welcome as well. Its a very busy time for me, trying to get my grandson enrolled into school today. Well, actually he is already enrolled, but had a morning conference and then there is the daycare dilemna for the little ones that I keep. Anyway, God worked it all out for us and Im sorry I am late in answering. Im a little sleep deprived but
our Lord is soooo good about allowing us to sleep so that we are rested. When my own kids were small, they loved the song, "Sleep Sound In Jesus". I love it still.
Sister Pat, Im gonna take you up on getting my picture in here so you ladies and gents as well, can see who youre talking to!  Goodnight for now!

I did not have to work today so I can go and get Mikes' school supplies and hang out at home. I think I will do some serious napping!

Zee, I have been having lots of nights when I cannot sleep.  Where can I obtain your writing about "Nibbles in the Night?"  I love the title!  :D

Wow.  Sounds like a life lived to the fullest Zeebers, although I am very sorry to hear of all the trials you have been through!  Never think that your lack of formal education matters to anyone who matters.
Jesus didn't start up any universities or seminaries.  Nice to meet you.  I'm a civil servant outside of Ottawa Canada, living out in the country with 8 kids, 2 cows, a sheep, dog, cat & rabbit and trying to
find every way of bringing life into conformity with the Will of God.  It's a life-long pursuit isn't it?

It's great to meet you, via this website!!  I hope ya like my moving welcome mat.  I like long letters & being able to get to know someone as much as possible.
So, ya get a good idea of what someone is like.

I too write long letters & I have quiet a story myself.  So, ya might want to check out my introduction.

Keeping it short today though, as I have many things to keep me busy.

Welcome, Zenobia!   I think we would be blessed if you would post some of your night time writings.  There are many of us here who have times of not being able to sleep.   Do you have an email list you send your Nibbles In The Night to?
