Post by: Pat on March 07, 2008, 08:05:23 PM

Hi there Doug...

We are very proud of how friendly the gang here is and are glad you've joined us.  There is every level of knowledge here so feel free to jump into the forum and set up your album too in the Gallery no matter if you have just gotten your first camera today or have been a professional since the time of large format cameras.

If you need help, the Shoutbox works well, and is a great way to pass the time too.  :)

Make yourself at home and enjoy sharing this wonderful art form here at

G'morning!
I am Doug, from Las Vegas. I am a Christian photographer, and shoot mainly Motorsports. I am the weekly series photographer at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, both the Drag Strip, and Bullring, our 3/8ths mile paved oval.
My wife and I enjoy "Ghost Towning" when we are not at the track or Church. Once  I have a chance, I will post some images of some of our adventures.
Not much else to tell!

Welcome Doug.  It seems that you are a man after my own heart.  Drag Racing and visiting ghost towns.  Though I've never driven a dragter down the strip...doesn't mean I don't want to.

As for ghost towns...nothing I like better than to come upon an old building or town and pause and reflect what it must have been like to live in them days.  I've given thought to driving Death Valley and seeing some of its ghost towns.

Anyway...though I am a bit late in posting....welcome to CP.

Welcome to CP, Doug!  I am looking forward to seeing some of your action shots of the races, and especially those of ghost towns.  I find those so intriguing.
